Pours a thin, but deep dark brown with a medium beige lacing. Overall one dimensional and very similar to a BMC light beer.

Chocolaty roasty aromas. Light on the palate. Slight chocolate flavor with some sweet malts. Very carbonated. Overall it’s drinkable.

Move over Bud Light. You have a toasty competitor.
Nice very dark brown to black pour. OK toasty aroma. Not much to this beer. Disappointed. Really this is an easily drinkable beer however I expected a much fuller body from the likes of Guinness in a black lager.

Smelled of wet dog. Taste reminiscent of a Spaten Lager, but dark. Drain-pour...and I don’t do that very often.

Bought at Sidney’s in Nawlins.. . Pours a deep brown/black .. medium headring, light lacing .. . slick light mouthfeel .. . not getting an awful lot out of the nose or palate- light roast and just a touch of sweet tar.. . no lay-ups .. . wow, a very very simple schwarz- i mean for guinness to make this, quite surprising on how one dimensional it is, that being said- i really liked and enjoyed it and can see maybe why they went with such a thin beer, like a guinness but not on nitro... . . Oh, don’t worry about it. All the teachers lose their car on their first day.

12 ounce bottle from Wine Warehouse in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a clear deep dark red with a medium sized creamy head. Good head retention. Aroma of roasted malts and chocolate. The taste is roasted malts, raisin, chocolate. Thin-medium bodied. Decent.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 drowland (4975) - Jacksonville, Florida, USA - SEP 19, 2011
9/19/11. 12oz bottle into a glass (sorry, Guinness). Black pour, dark brown under the light, with a decent khaki head that sticks and laces a teensy bit. Very plain aroma with tannic graininess, a hint of cream, and a dash of sour. Very light flavor as well with tannic graininess, a bit of dark chocolate, and not much else. Very light body... it’s yet another "dark" beer for Guinness to push on the common man so they think they’re drinking the good stuff.
2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 r464 (1464) - Earth, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 19, 2011
Skunky aroma. Taste is light and crisp with a light maltiness. Finish is weak, but not unpleasant. Slightly toasty, a bit more roasted in the malt than a standard lager. Better than a macro.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Suttree (4447) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - SEP 18, 2011
black with red tints, spongy beige head. Smells toasty and grain, maybe a little fruity, I guess. Pretty thin bodied, which works here. Flavor is pretty much what the aroma promises - grainy, tossty, and mild fruit flavors. Not bad. What the hell does "cold brewed" mean, anyway?
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Dogbrick (5990) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - SEP 17, 2011
This brew pours black with some chestnut color around the edges. Medium thin tan head that diminishes steadily to a film. Somewhat roasty aroma with notes of malt and chocolate. Light to medium body with a roasted malt character and flavors of mild hops and chocolate. The finish is short roasty malt. Seems like this beer is being marketed as a "less heavy Guinness" which is amusing. Simply average overall.
