2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Poured a darker brownish, black color with a tan head. Aroma was faint roasted malts, caramel and hops. Flavor was roasty, woody, caramel and hops. Very thin and watery. Not much body to this beer. Just below avarage.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
THOUGHTS: Seed like Guinness and a crap light lager had a baby. Turns pretty bad as it warms up. I wish this was sold in four packs instead of six. One of the worst schwarzbiers Iíve tried.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a dark brown with red highlights and a large, grayish brown head that mostly diminished and left good lacing. The aroma had light to moderate grain and roasted malt; slight caramel; and light to moderate grassy hops; The initial flavor was slightly sweet, lightly sour and lightly bitter; while the finish was lightly sour and light to moderately bitter with an average to long duration. There was slightly caramel, roasted malt, grassy and metallic hops and a little sour malt. The light to medium body was a bit oil and then slightly dry with fizzy carbonation and a metallic finish.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle. Aromas of barley malts some roasty notes and a bit of chocolate. Flavor is bitter with the usual Guinness taste only watery and malty. Body is dissapointing and finish is quick. Feels like a Guinness knock off

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz bottle. Pours a very dark mahogany black with a thin tan head. Bread and hay in then ose, but in all honesty there isnít much of an aroma. OK mouthfeel, flavor of raost malt, some hops. I think itís a mindset thing - I expect to taste a stout. Go figure. Overall, a little bit disappointing.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours pitch black with a decent tan head and a treacle aroma. There is a modest roasted malt flavor with a rather nasty chalky finish. Guinness needs to fix this one.

A light Guinness with less flavor. I would chose something different if I wanted lighter, but if your looking for Guinness just go for the real deal...

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aroma: subtle roast and coffee, very faint. Pours black, fizzy off-white head dissipates quickly and leaves some thin lacing. Flavor has some nice chocolate and roast, coffee and earthy notes. Body is a bit thin, medium carbonation.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured into a Lager Glass. Pours really dark brown almost black. Nice frothy head with a little lacing on the glass. aroma is pleasant, roasted malts and almost a citrusy smell too. Flavour is clean and finishes with the roasty notes. Palate is thin and watery, but thatís the point of a lager. Carbonation is lively on the tongue. Overall one of the better Black Lagers Iíve tried.
