Green bean aroma. Clear mahogany, medium tan head, nice lacing. Thin body. Dry cola and cardboard flavor. I enjoy Guinnessí stouts, so I had higher hopes for this. Such a disappointment,

Black and clean. Pours with a good but big bubble frothy head. Runny aroma. Good light roasty malt taste with a thinner consistency.

Bottle at the International Great Beer Expo in Uniondale. Pours black with a tan head. There is a trace of roasted malt in the nose and that is about it. The flavor is weak roasted malt and stale cardboard. Light-medium bodied. Thankfully, I was able to sample this at the festival so I wonít have to waste my money buying it.

Bottle purchased @ Smileyís Discount beverage, Dover, NH for $1.59. Deep brown pour into a pint. Soapy head, light lace. Nose of roasted barley. A slight smokiness with a roasted malt backbone. A tad thin in the body. Much better than I thought to was going to be.

Bottle at World of Beer (Carrollwood). Black pour with a tan head. Not a whole lot going on in the aroma other than some roasted malt notes. Flavor is decent but again not very exciting. Fairly watery mouthfeel. Easy drinking but I prefer more character in a Schwarzbier.

12oz bottle at Chad and Monicaís house. Overall, better than average. Nice roasted malt and a hint of smokiness. Very easy drinking and a nice change of pace.

aroma of ordinary beer with a bit of extra malt and earth. spicy tingle and dishwater hop to this complex yet not substantial brew that is watery. earth, a bit of anise and a slight slickness with a bit of sharp bubble leave me with the impression that this is a crafty brew made by a crafty brewer. some roast and dark style sweetness.

Bottle, a gift from a customer who brought this into the store for me. Thank you, person I can no longer remember. A touching gift, ruined by the fact that Iím a terrible, ungrateful person. Now, on the beer! Bottle, served at home, out off my Maudite glass; pours clear black; 1-finger pale tan head, average lacing. Nose is garbage-water (no really, Iím trying not to be a dick, but this smells rather like old dishwater), flint, bacon, hot dumpster (serious overripe vegetables here) , and some vague roast. Flavours are rather soapy, with light roast pervasive right through, more boiled vegetables. Terrible. Just terrible.

Bottle. Pours a dark black color with a thin, lacing head. Light, roasted malt aroma. Watered down taste with some malt and oats lingering around. Not the best beer, but my expectations were minimal to begin with.
