3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a nice black color with off-white head. Roasted malt and just a bit of coffee on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with more roasted malt notes.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Transfer from BA review on 4-7-12 -
Poured from bottle into pint glass
Appearance- Pours a nice dark brown nearly black color with a lighter tan head. The head faded quite fast giving way to a very light lacing.
Smell – The smell is largely of lighter roasted malts and is of light coffee and chocolate notes.
Taste – The taste is of roasted malts and is of light coffee and chocolate notes. These start out a little more on the sweeter side and bitter more as the taste advances. But the flavor is overall very consistent throughout.
Mouthfeel – The mouthfeel is a bit on the lighter side with a medium level of carbonation. The carbonation is quite appropriate and complements the beer quite well, but the mouthfeel leaves something to be desired as it could use some more thickness.
Overall - Nothing too spectacular, but not bad. I prefer the original stout, as the lager is a bit more one-dimensional in my opinion.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle: Poured a clear dark color lager with a small off-white foamy head with OK retention. Aroma of lightly toasted malt is mildly pleasant. Taste is also dominated by lightly toasted malt with light dry bitter notes and watery finish. Body is light with OK carbonation. This is a water-down version of Guinness which says a lot about this beer.

2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
Aroma is yeast, ash, fruit, interesting. Pours opaque black with a khaki head. Awesome lacing. Flavor is honestly lacking dark flavor. In a blind taste test it could pass for a light-colored beer. I can’t taste any roasted or dark flavors. Light body, sweet finish. Decent as far as beer in general but for the style not so much.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Rated on 11-02-2011 (Bottle) When poured, this beer has a medium sized fizzy tan head with a short retention, dark brown body, fizzy, fast rising carbonation, and virtually no lacing. The aroma is roasted malt. The flavor is roasted malt and lightly sweet. The mouthfeel is light carbonation and this beer is light bodied. This beer lacks character in the flavor as there is not much to it.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tall pint can from a "Irish Beer" 8 pack sold at Harris Teeter in Huntersville, NC. Pours a nice black color with a light aroma of mostly malt, coffee and chocolate. Taste is mellow and has an easy finish. Not bad but it could be better.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours dark with a mild beige head, the barley comes through in the taste, giving it a similar flavor to that of burnt caramel.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
bottle. Hazy blackish with small head. Ashy charred malt. Bland and watery. I don’t like the style much, but this is underwhelming to say the least.

Definitely Tastes like a Guinness. Roasted aroma with same taste and a little bitterness at the end.
