2.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Not bad for such a commonly found beer. One of my early favorites, yet is disappointing after experiencing other beers. Very dark color, aroma is lacking but is not offensively skunky, fairly bitter, texture is appealing as well.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Rouge très foncé, presque noir en couleurs, avec un petit collier beige. L’arôme est de malt et de mélasse, le goût est très similaire. Comme un hybride Guinness-Lager.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
330 mL Bottle. Dark brown-black body with a frothy beige head that quickly settles to a foamy film. Aroma of sweet and toasted malts, grains, hints of chocolate and treacle, and grassy hops with a sharp floral and corn husk note. Somewhat light on the body but with a bold yet not overwhelming flavor of sweet and toasted malts, black coffee, a sweet malt aftertaste with soupçons of chocolate and treacle, and a peppery hoppy finish such as would be found in a good lager-type beer.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Dark brown pour with a white head. The aroma is chocolate and lightly roasted malt with some sugar notes. The flavor is similar. I get some grainy chocolate notes and roasted malt. Thin, watery mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Bland.

3.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours as dark at the stout with an off white head lacking the creamy look of the stout that quickly dissipates .Nose is roasted malt. Palate is medium body with crispness of a lager. Flavor is roasted malt, coffee, bitter chocolate. Indeed, ti is the lager version of the stout. 14.9 oz can in an 8 can variety pack.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Can. Touch of stale husky grain in the nose, but really, not much there at all. Pours black with ruby highlights and a foamy tan head. Taste lightly tangy/acrid but not sour, some cigarette ash in with faint roast, faint hint of chocolate, relatively dry with low bitterness. Medium-full body. Well, they made this one easy, I’ll take the regular Guinness instead ten times out of ten.
