2.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 7/20
Blah. The only good thing about this beer is the aroma. The aroma was a thick dense roasted coffee. Pour was a nice enough dark brown with some rising bubbles and a one finger tan head. Taste was very thin and watery. Thereís literally no flavor upon first sip. The strong carbonation numbs the cheeks and gums. After the swallow the mouth is left with some coffee and dark roasted malt flavors. Very bland and boring

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle, pours opaque black w/ foamy off-white head, aroma is even mix of roasted malt, adjunct, and dishwater, thin and watery w/ only the lightest roast accent on finish, unimpressive

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
11.2 ounce bottle. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours black with about an inch tan head that went away quickly. Thereís a decent amount of lacing left on the glass. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, and some bittersweet chocolate. Taste is similar to the aroma, but thereís also a slight nutty flavor. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, itís pretty easy to drink and is well carbonated. Overall itís not bad, itís probably not going to impress you but I think itís a nice sessionable brew. Iíd buy it again, itís a decent choice for a lower alcohol brew to end the night with.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle. Iím not sure what Guinness was getting at with this. It reminds me of Harp lager, with a tiny bit of roast malt. Weak finish weak aroma. Commonplace. I canít recommend this.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
I hated this beer. It tasted like Bud Light, but was black. You donít even taste the roasted malt which gives it the color. Itís simply a boring American light lager dressed up with black malt to make it look more appealing. Awful beer.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
The pour made a thick brown head with a with a toasty coffee aroma. The palate seemed somewhat weak and the flavor was more toast, coffee, and a little bit of chocolate. Overall a decent black lager, but not outstanding.
Iím glad to see more Guinness selections appearing on the market, but I wish they would make the Guinness 250 recipe a permanent selection, or at least a seasonal one.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pour is a black with a quickly falling tan head. Aroma is a ok hint of chocolate and toasted malts. Flavor is weak and watery and the taste of dark malt does not come to the table until after the swallow. Iím sure Guinness makes plenty of money from their stout so I donít know why they put this out.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
bottle. dark schwarzbier/cola looking pour. light roasty aroma, sort of spritzy. Flavor was watered down roasted maltiness, light sweetness. Blah blah, Caníy imagine the $$$$$ that they sunk into this b.s.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle: at home: pours dark, dark brown with a thick foamy tan head. It smells like roasty, ashy chocolate. Its flavor is sharp chocolaty malt. The lively carbonation is a fun departure from the traditional Guinness. Itís good, but I prefer itís grandfather... Guinness draught.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: SEP 6, 2011 12 oz bottle. Pours dark brown with nice tan head. Aroma has light notes of dark roast, cocoa, with that classic Guinness aroma. Flavor is much the same and dry with a mild hop finish. Light body with high carbonation. Overall, taste like a Heineken with dark roasted flavor and color added.
