2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
16oz can. Dark ruby black with tan head. Aroma of roast/toast and wet sneakers. Light body, not to bad at first- roasted barley, toasted nuts. As it warms up and you trudge through it ounce by ounce it becomes less and less drinkable. It's not horrendous, but most schwartzbiers I've had have been better. Finish is light roast.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz bottle. Pour is ebony black .
It look like old Pepsi laying in the glass.
Aroma is musty and roasty. Flavor is of a roasted malt note, with a quick dry finish. Mouthfeel is rather light and fizzy.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
330 mL Bottle. Dark brown-black body with a frothy beige head that quickly settles to a foamy film. Aroma of sweet and toasted malts, grains, hints of chocolate and treacle, and grassy hops with a sharp floral and corn husk note. Somewhat light on the body but with a bold yet not overwhelming flavor of sweet and toasted malts, black coffee, a sweet malt aftertaste with soupçons of chocolate and treacle, and a peppery hoppy finish such as would be found in a good lager-type beer.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle to pint glass. Pours an opaque black with sparse head. A bit watery, and malty flavors. Not too much bitter bite, and there is surprisingly little aftertaste. Not bad.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
The big drawbacks are the strange aroma - kinda like marshmallows when they first hit the fire. The second shortcoming is the finish. It is in stark contrast with the roasty taste and is slightly unpleasant.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours dark with a mild beige head, the barley comes through in the taste, giving it a similar flavor to that of burnt caramel.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
11.2oz in Drake’s pint glass. Near black with small fizzy ecru head. Very appetizing cornflakes and distant coffee aroma. Clean and tasty flavors of molasses, Munich malt, and sweet corn. Pleasant lager finish, generous carbonation. Excellent sessionable, interesting beer.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle. Pours a deep brown, nearly black with slightly off white head. Aroma is a slightly fruity roast caramel. The flavor is very light roast caramel. Not bad for a brew that is trying to appeal to the "masses", but not very good, regular guiness stout much better!!

440ml/15floz can from Irish Discovery pack into a Guinness glass; served cold.
Aroma: Pretty neutral. There’s some mild malt, but nothing that really stands out.
Appearance: Barely translucent ruby and brown body with a quickly dissipating, but foamy at first, light brown head.
Taste: Pretty malty, yeah. Decent, but once again, no notable flavors to call out. No chocolate or anything like that. Just roasty barley, and that’s ok.
Palate: Medium body. Carbonation is kind of prickly, but not excessively. Short finish.
Overall: A pretty decent one. I wish there were something in the taste or aroma that would remind me of Guinness draught or stout, because I don’t know if I could have picked this out as a Guinness brew in a blind taste. Decent enough though! Simple and good.
