0.9 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
I MUST have a bad bottle. This stuff canít be that bad. Strong aroma of septic. Taste of boiled leaves and fermented grass. borderline drain-pour. Why would Guinness make something this bad?

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle. Typical lager with malted taste. Roadted malts come through in aftertaste. Go to beer if no craft brew available.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a thin black. The flavor is of roasted malt, kind of like a stout yet has a lager like quality to it. Not overly carbonated. Decent overall.

1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Pours black with virtually no head. Nose is light and generic weak lager with a pinch of roastiness and skunk. Flavor has a bit of old hops, weak coffee, and herb but is generally limp. Cereal-like finish, but also very weak here as well. This is a boring, cheap black lager. Stick to Irish Drys, Guinness.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Ar: Light malt, a bit of moss, and coffee.
Ap: Very dark brown, red highlights - medium light tan head with big bubbles - moderate retention.
T: Roast and a touch of coffee up front - some earthiness with light bitterness - quick, ashy finish.
P: Light bodied with medium-high carbonation - falls a bit thin on the palate.
O: Decent black lager - nothing special, pretty underwhelming.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours almost black with a little tannish head. Aroma has some dark roasted, almost burnt smelling malts, and some chocolate lingering in there. Tastes has some chocolate notes and some slight hop bitterness, with a watery mouthfeel afterwards. Rather thin for the most part, but still very drinkable.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a very dark brown, not totally black, with a nice tan head. Aroma is mildly roasty. And flavor is mildly roasty. Shockingly little going on here. Sent a search party out for flavor and couldnít find hardly anything even after I boldly ignored the bottle instructions and allowed it to warm up - in a glass. At least nothing offensive here. I kinda liked this one looking forward to the next one.

Dark but not thick. Smooth and light enough to drink all the time. Not a bad all around beer.
