1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
I did not care one bit for this brew. Something sort of "off"/bitter in the aftertaste that was just a downer. Aromas were weak as well as the flavors. Very thin and watery in texture. Only upside was the excellent lacing on the glass (but who wants to pay for that?!).

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Poured a good head that quickly died off. Dark brown in colour. Tastes of toasted malt and caramel. Very sweet. Mouth feel is thin. Like most Guinness beers, it’s become a pale imitation of a real dark Lager. Kind of boring.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
11.2 fl oz bottle poured into a dimpled mug. Deep brown amber with a tiny tan head. Aroma is roasted malt and coffee. Flavor is odd. It has the distinctive Guinness roastiness with the typical wateriness of a pale lager. Mouthfeel is a bit thin with a generous amount of carbonation. Finish is bitter roast at first and fades to a biscuity lager yeast. It is pretty much exactly what one would expect of a lager from Guinness. This isn’t bad but I don’t think I’ll buy it again. If I want a Guinness, I’ll buy a Guinness.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
A bit watery, and not enough roasted malts for my tastes . A "Schwarzbier-lite" if you ask me. But I should have expected that after seeing the words "COLD BREWED" in huge letters on the label. An ok session beer, but nothing to write home about.

1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Momma says always stress the positive, so I’ll say that Black Lager looks good. After that, well, (sorry mom) the roasted grain aroma is sharp and unpleasant, the beer is thin, and the finish leaves an unpleasant bitterness.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a thin black. The flavor is of roasted malt, kind of like a stout yet has a lager like quality to it. Not overly carbonated. Decent overall.

0.9 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
I MUST have a bad bottle. This stuff can’t be that bad. Strong aroma of septic. Taste of boiled leaves and fermented grass. borderline drain-pour. Why would Guinness make something this bad?

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
