3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
This is my go-to dark beer for every day. Smooth taste, yet more complex than other similarly priced beers. Goes well with medium to heavy flavored meals.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Roasted barley, very burnt, smokeish malt taste. Looks extremely good, making the expectations a bit hard to reach. The palate has a bit of the classic Guinness creaminess. Tastes mostly of a good burnt malt and little else. Grows on you.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
It doesn’t have that little bit of sour malt taste that a true Guinness has, but it’s really good...dark malt flavors balanced with bitterness, and much lighter than a Guinness. I really liked it.

3.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Smooth and not too bitter. Might not be suitable for those who like a really strong taste, but I found it quite enjoyable. Paired well with sandwiches.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A deep black pour with a tan head. It has a roasted malt aroma with slight chocolate. The taste is lightly sweet with an oily texture, lively carbonation, and a roasted finish.

330ml Bottle. Dark brown with thick foamy tan head. Smell is malty. Taste is watery malt with slight hops around the edge. Really good and refreshing (nice during summer).

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz bottle from Baruni’s in Baden, PA. A nice addition to the Guinness family and a good alternative if you’re not quite up to drinking a stout. Wonderful colors and rather smooth on the mouth feel.

3.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours as dark at the stout with an off white head lacking the creamy look of the stout that quickly dissipates .Nose is roasted malt. Palate is medium body with crispness of a lager. Flavor is roasted malt, coffee, bitter chocolate. Indeed, ti is the lager version of the stout. 14.9 oz can in an 8 can variety pack.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle at Belfast Airport. Pours a almost totally black color with a medium beige head. A light sweet caramel, toasted malt and light smooth nutty notes. The flavor is very much a Guinness product; smooth roasted malts, some hints of metal, caramel. Enjoyable.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
11.2 oz bottle. Pours almost opaque mohogany with a medium beige head with decent retention; leaves some creamy lace. Aroma is pretty muted but a little bread shows through. Taste is bittersweet with a dry and somewhat salty finish. Has a wet river rock/mineral flavor in the finish. Crisp and refreshing. Average carbonation. It could be more roasty, but I like it.
