There is nothing to say about the appearance of a properly-poured pint of Guinness. It looks gorgeous, and I enjoy the aroma, which like the taste is dominated by chocolate and coffee. Not incredibly complex or special, but earns this high rating for its drinkability.

This is a very good Irish draught, which you need to taste when you go to an english or irish pub. The beer is pretty dry, with a strong taste, and a keeping aftertouch.

If this isn’t the best looking beer in the world, I don’t know what is! By far the coolest pour, visually the most enticing and the taste follows suit. Creamy, full bodied, well balanced. Truly righteous.

Guinness is the beer that I wish I could give a 20 for appearance. When they put that cascading beauty in front of me I could watch it for hours if I didn’t want to drink it so badly. It pours a deep brown color and cascades like a waterfall. Thick creamy head with coffee and chocolate in both the aroma and taste. Very smooth mouthfeel and goes down without effort. My only knock is that it could use a bit deeper flavor to it but overall this is a classic beer.

Can. Pours black with a gorgeous, thick, tan head that lasts and lasts. The cascade of fine bubbles down the side of the glass is entrancing. Aroma of mild roasty malt. Taste is similar, with some coffee and just enough bitterness to balance it out. Finishes nice and dry, with some bitterness. Palate is velvety from the fine carbonation. I know there are lots of stouts with more flavor, but Guinness is a wonderfully balanced and satisfying beer. It’s rich, but not overpowering. Some complain about how full it makes them; I can drink this all night. Probably my favorite mass produced beer.

Ahhh the staple. I really don’t think there is a better looking pint. It just looks magnificent. Beautiful frothy tan head, malt smell and the taste of malt and some bitter. I can say though after having one in Europe, they taste better on draught in Europe than anywhere in North America. One day I’ll have one in Ireland.
