Great stout, especially on tap in a Dublin pub. Appearance is dark with creamy head, looks amazing and has a nice toasty taste.

My favorite dry stout by far. Love how it pours, how it looks, how it tastes and feels. Guinness for health!

Om någon tror på allvar att jag tänker recensera denna ölen från ett smutsigt hak från Helsingborg tror denna någon fel.

pours black with a fluffy, fluffy tan head with lots of lace. the puiblican has to wait a long time to allow the head to settle, then top it off before it is ready to be served. nose of coffee with some chocolate notes. flavor follows the nose with hints of chocolate, a coffee btterness, and a bit of nuttiness. medium bodied, lightly bitter finish. i sampled this at many different public houses in dublin and kilarney, ireland, during a recent trip.

Guinness is perhaps my favorite beer. However, I definitely prefer the Extra Stout over the Draught, and regret having paid more money to try the Draught. Guinness is my choice beer!
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 nevets4433 (302) - - SEP 22, 2011
11.2 oz bottle from a Guinness glass. From old notes. Was odd to have this beer in a normally carbonated version. It was very different. More chocolate notes than i noticed from the nitro version in the past. Overall grade 7 out of 10.

I had high expectations for the Draught. I mean, being from Guinness I was ready for one stellar Irish-style Dry Stout. Unfortunately this one did not meet those expectations. Maybe the recipe was changed or something? Whatever the case may be I think I am going to stick with other brews in the Guinness lineup until this one gets some backbone put back into it. This brew poured up a near pitch black colored body with a creamy one-finger head with excellent retention and lacing effects (at least the visuals were enticing!). Aromas of hot caramel, sweet malts, coffee and chocolate; all somewhat on the smokey end of the spectrum. Medium-bodied (but rather watered-down tasting) with flavors of roasted malts, coffee with a very dry, slightly hoppy bite on the finish. I say that it is medium-bodied but in all honesty this one was just way to watery for my tastes and expectations. It is not a bad brew, but it is definitely not the best in this beer style.
