4.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 bowlnman1990 (36) - Lansing, Michigan, USA - JUN 9, 2011
This is the first beer I had at midnight on my 21st birthday last week, but no where near my first beer. I had it on draft at Kelly’s Irish Pub in Lansing, Michigan. The aroma seems fairly light but pleasing. The appearance is stunning, the prettiest pour I have ever seen, being very dark with red tints and a creamy head that has a cool setting effect. Taste and palate, it seems to have hints of chocolate and burnt toast, and goes down like water. Overall this beer is near the top of those I have tried thus far, and I will be having more.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 tfredvik (296) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUN 7, 2011
Absolutely stunning appearance: very dark brown, almost black body with a reddish tint. The dense, creamy, light-brown head stays one finger thick until the glass is empty. Burnt aroma with some mild coffee notes and vague hints of dough. The taste is very light sweet with a very light bitter finish giving a somewhat dry feel (or is the other way around?). The flavour follows the aroma, in addition to some faint raisins. The body is extremely light, the carbonation is close to flat and the texture is rather watery (or a bit creamy, if you dear to take a sip of the perfect head). Ok beer with nice (although rather subtle) aroma and flavour. However, I find it far too thin and I don’t really like the lack of bitterness or sweetness (even if that’s how a dry stout is supposed to be). If it was possible to roast water, this is what it would taste like.

UPDATED: NOV 16, 2011 Just lovely. What, do you want me to describe it? Drink it and enjoy it instead of reading about it.

Best in Dublin. Less smooth than Murphy’s. A reliable beer but nothing that exciting.
3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 MisterSparkle (29) - California, USA - JUN 2, 2011
On tap @ R. O’Sullivan’s pub. A drinkable, smooth "stout". Aroma is almost nonexistent, but the cascade is fun to watch, and it looks delicious sitting there with its creamy head. Flavor is mild malts, bread and cereals and chocolate, light roasty notes. Little in the way of hop signature. Memory says this beer used to be more complex, but it is still pleasant to drink. Cheers!

Nitro-cans are perfect for beer funnels and not much else. If you actually value the beer you’re drinking, you realize that the oily, molecularly-throat-friendly texture completely bypasses your tastebuds. Guinness Draught is stout light, a mass-market friendly corporately-produced pseudo-good beer. Use it to wean yourself off the macro crap, then say goodbye once you’ve been introduced into the realm of real stout. (10/08)

Always a great tasting stout. Black in the glass and slightly bitter flavor. Very creamy as well.

One of the very few sentimental, mass-produced ANYTHINGs to be as good or better as its reputation, a pint of Guinness in Ireland (or anywhere with a good bar and -tender) is a thing to be reckoned with; creamy head, nutty bite, full palate of malt, and almost tender finish (Corbally, and many other places)
