Guinness Draught

Kinda a funny beer to write about....what can I say that hasn’t already been said.....no surprises here. I think the most remarkable thing about guinness is how versitile it is. A beautiful looking, flavorful beer that can be easily consumed all night. It’s amazingly reliable too - you can find almost everywhere all over the planet - I’ve never been dissapointed. Matter of fact, I think I may just go have a couple right now - all this talk is makin me thirsty!

33cl, can. Incredibly good looking, pitch black beer with a thick head. Aromas of coffee and toffee, generally speaking - roasted malt. Very light taste, maybe some nut and toffee too, thin mouthfeel. It’s better to try Guinness Extra Stout, this here is nothing special at all.

Guinness is always very tasty. It has a very mild flavor. It is watery as many people say. It goes down easy, and you can drink it all night.

Pours a creamy, whirlwind of tan and black. As the storm settles a pitch black body with a perfect, thick white head emerge. Aroma is smokey and malty with a sweet note in there also. Drinks incredibly smooth, there isn’t a smoother beer on the planet. Roasted malt, a slight hop bitterness, and a creamy sweetness engulf the mouth. Such a unique beer, an icon. Love it or hate it, this beer is irreplaceable. Always a good choice.

330mL bottle from Regional. Pours deep brown/red, almost black, with the signature creamy nitrogen head. Aroma is rich, roasty and has a few dark fruits – a quality I’ve never gotten from Guinness before. The main thing that I dislike about Guinness is the watery texture and empty mouthfeel. Otherwise there are plenty of coffee notes, a touch of dark fruit and a roasted malt finish. Love the head, and the look of a Guinness. But the flavours aren’t robust enough to ascend to an outstanding beer.

I love the range that this beer gets. It’s water when compared to beers of the same style. Watery flavor, nothing in the aroma for me really, some coffee and cocoa. Still like the look though haha

Pours a deep deep brown cascades nicely... Aroma is still non-existant in Guinness as far as i’m concerned, a note of roast... Mild roasty flavor a bit nutty, nothing spectacular... Palate is very very thin almost watery with a hint of roast in the finish... Oh, and the Hot Dog taste, i almost forgot about the hot dog taste... Tastes like hot dogs in the finish...

You can’t deny that this is a classic beer. Just pouring one is something to behold. There are certainly better stouts, but none with a better reputation.
