Bottle. Pours a black color with a two finger head. Does leave some lacing on the side of the glass. We all know what Guinness is and taste likes. I don’t need to get into all of that. I just wasn’t a huge fan of this beer.

440ml can 4.2%. Pours opaque, near black with amazing cascade effect that turns into a dense tan lasting head. Toasted, cocoa-coffee aroma. Flavour same as the aroma with a hint of alcohol at the end. Light mouthfeel, almost flat, which makes it possible to drink more without feeling bloated. This is what I compare all other stouts to, but that’s my personal taste.

Black beauty with a creamy head. Solid roast, malt, nut and coco/coffee aromas. Very slight hint of wood too. Smoothness at its best with an incomparable creamy taste. Unlike a usual stout, this brew does not take a toll on your palate. The bitterness has been tinkered to the optimum level. Nicely hopped too. Still possess a strong body despite its apparent easy slide down your throat. Brilliant character. Subtlly complex but not schizophrenic. A wonderful consumption experience. The carbonation is great. Try it with a sccop of vanilla ice-cream!

Pours black with a thick creamy chocolate brown head. Aromas: cocoa, coffee and lots of roasted malt. Flavors of more coffee and dark roasted malt

I don’t really care what anyone else says. Guinness draught is a delight and I love the creamy head, the texture is a joy and the overcall bitter yet tasty flavour on the palate makes this a really good stout and its also available almost everywhere. Ok it can be annoying waiting for it to settle and it has the slight drawback of being a little more dehydrating than other beer.

16oz bottle. Pours black as night with a 2-3 finger creamy medium beige head that has excellent retention and leaves the best lacing I know of. Aroma is pretty weak, roast, ash, some cocoa, some stale coffee. Flavor is basically the same a little mare ash/char to the finish along with a slight bitterness. Palate is super milky smooth and creamy. Super fine carbonation bubbles seem to hold alot of the real beer back. A decent introduction to the style but certainly no figurehead stout.

440 mL Nitro Can specifically labeled "draught". Anyone who has seen the Guinness commercial will know the real thing holds true to its advertised image. The glass looks like it’s getting filled with chocolate milk shake during the pour until the extra fine carbonation settles up into a beautiful creamy off-white head that clings thickly to the sides of the glass as it is sipped, hiding the surface from the top of the glass all the way to the end; the ultimate example of beauty in beer. Aroma is toasted malt and grains with a hint of coffee, a slight syrupiness to it and a slight tang that is fitting to a dark beer. The flavor (and a full flavor at that) is toasted malt with an aftertaste that is like good black coffee, yet not too overpowering. Smooth in the mouth, it holds to the tongue like a firm but velvet hand. Not a complicated beer but a benchmark for those who like dark beers with taste and character. A toast to my Irish ancestry. Those Irishers sure can make good beer! G for Goddess, G for Guinness
