Rogueone (506), I F&ckin’ hate those guys from, Ohio, USA Jan 19, 2009 Hell I’m drinking one right now why not rate it. It’s dark. It’s creamy. It taste like oats and the sweat and tears of hardworking Irish Folk. It’s smooth and malty and bready enough that you think drinking it might not be so bad for your health. It’s what I get when the bar I’m at doesn’t have any acceptable beers. I’m rating it a 3.5 because even though I don’t absolutely love it, I still drink it all the time. LtDan (471), LA - Originally from South NJ!, California, USA Jan 18, 2009 Poured into a 32 oz mug. Beautiful cream-likehead. Didn’t get much aroma. Had nice roasted flaovrs. Seems very thin once you get over the creamy head gimmick. Highly quaffable. blutt59 (2042), Dallas, Texas, USA Jan 17, 2009 nitro can, deep black pour with rootbeer float head, fruit and chocolate nose, flavor is roasty, chocolates and malt, good finish rader58 (164), Leawood, Kansas, USA Jan 15, 2009 1/13/2009 - Pours deep brown. Strong malt aroma. Creamy tan, long lasting head. Taste of malt with slight bitter/dry finish. whatalesya (20), , North Carolina, USA Jan 12, 2009 Had this one at The Sea Captain’s House in Myrtle Beach. Very dark, almost black, nice head. Smooth on the palate. Dry. From there it went downhill. Maybe it was the hype, but this was a big disappointment for me. Slight hint of chocolate and a touch of coffee, a little hop bitterness, but other than that, it was fairly bland. Antboy (1), , Ontario, Canada does not count Jan 12, 2009 Hints of coffee and licorice and smooth to the palate, nothing really tops a well-poured Guinness. KieferUGA (461), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Jan 11, 2009 11.2 oz. bottle. Dark black pour with a thick, foamy, eggnog head. Aroma of licorice, molasses, and some roasted coffee. Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy. Flavor has hints of chocolate, coffee, and some hoppiness. Bitter finish. Leighton (234), New York, New York, USA Jan 10, 2009 My goodness! My Guinness. A lot can be - and has been - said about this beer. Its iconic status is basically unparalleled in the beer world - and for good reason. Guinness is simply wonderful. The thick, creamy head; the dark stout below...I can’t think of another beer so recognizable. People have different opinions about Guinness and its taste. I usually detect hints of coffee and chocolate. I always detect hints of complete deliciousness. Some people disagree with me, and they’re just stupid. I lived in Dublin for five months, so I have more than a special place for Guinness in my heart. And Guinness really is good for you. A 12oz serving has 9.9 carbs and 110 calories, which is way better than most beers of this caliber. I realize that this entry is a bit rambling and disjointed; I’ll fix it up later. I just wanted to get a rating up here.
