Jan 1, 2009 Guinness is for me the gold standard as it was a beer I really enjoyed during my formative drinking years in college. I’ve had it all over the world, and the taste varies slightly, but it’s distinctive black look with smooth head and nice bitter taste make it one of the classics. There’s also tastes of bread, malts and coffee.

Draft local pub Germany Idar-Oberstein. Enough has been said about its flavor here. This beer taste different in different parts of the world. Still one of the best, if not the best mass produced "mainstream" beers. Best slightly warm on a empty belly. Also goes well with a plain steak.

Alright here gos. I have proably had well over 1000 of this one. Pours dark, very creamy white forming head. The smoothest beer in the world. Words just don’t describe this one. My favorite all time and the only beer that I can rightfully give a perfect score. Thank you Guinness for your many years of wonderful brew. WOW!

The presence of the Draught is awe-inspiring. It is the most beautiful beer that I have ever poured or had poured for me and it is also the most versatile- Black and Tan, Irish car bomb, you name it. Worth the wait.

On can with this crazy nitrogen device in. What a thrill it is to break the can. ppffffsszzzzhhhhhhh. When poured the draft effect is clear - at it takes some time before the bubbles are settled into this almost black body with a fine light brown staying head. Nose is weak but with vanilla, roasted malts and laqurice. The taste is with chocolate, dry plum, laqurice with a light bitter finish. The palate is rather thin and waterish. Have had this on tap back in the days in cheep bars in London - Back then it was way thicker and with a more creamy thick palate.. maybe its the memory thats wrong - but thats how I remember it.

Nitro can. Pours dark brown/black with nice 1 inch head that stays around. Nice chocolate, roasted malt flavors with hint of coffee. Minimal hops. Light bodied for a stout makes for a great drinkable session brew.
