Black, with a very nice and lasting head. Nice lacing. Aroma is milk chocolarte. Flavor is chocolate too, with some bitterness. A smooth and mild stout.

A very average dry stout...much better on tap (when served properly and FRESH). Yeah its highly overrated, but its relatively low in alcohol and possible to session unlike most stouts. Slight burnt malt flavors and watery. I hear it's much better in Dublin...myth or fact? I hope to answer that question one day.

Guinness is always going to be very good. It is the stout that everything is compared to. A good stout, but a tad to bitter sometimes. cheers

UPDATED: APR 12, 2004 A very strong tasting beer. May be alright bury your nose in on a cold day.Far too bitter and mettallic out of a can, is nice and creamy and very smooth draught. It is almost a meal in itself.

Its true if you can find a place that knows how to treat this stout, then you are set. This is a great stout. Creamy head, and almost black in color. Well roasty balanced flavor. One of the stouts that lives up to its name.

One of the few beers that lives up to the hype around it. Good color. Nice head. Overall a solid buy.

UPDATED: FEB 24, 2004 Ridiculously overrated in my opinion. Tastes like watered-down chocolate mud. There's very little flavor here in this weak stout. Maybe everyone's buying into the hype, or maybe I just don't know what I'm missing out on... very flat.

Draught...Sure, it looks nice. And if you didn't know better, you'd might think it was a heavy and strong beer. Aroma is malty and roasty, but the flavors are muted by the nitro pour and the freezing cold temperature this keeps getting served at. Very very watery. Stout lite.

Chocolate tar in a glass. Great smoky flavour and the creamy head makes it a delight to drink.
