fata2683 (837), Panama City, Florida, USA Aug 22, 2008 I love this stuff, it’s the one commercial beer that is hard to not enjoy. It looks great in the pint(waterfall.) Aroma is mostly malty. A staple Irish Stout! bconley (351), Fern Park, Florida, USA Aug 21, 2008 Surely a staple. Very pretty dark brown color. Very filling. Tough to hate on. FatTony (121), Augusta, Georgia, USA Aug 21, 2008 On draught at Colombo’s in Columbia SC.
Poured out a rich mahogany brown with a "stout" tan head. Aroma was earthy with coffee undertones. Taste was a slight disappointment, more dusty than rich. Palate was thin compared to Imperial Stouts. Fair to good. project359 (3), Greenville, Texas, USA does not count Aug 20, 2008 You can’t go wrong with this stout when you get it on draught. If you find a bar that will add the Shamrock to the head, you’re in business. Very slight coffee aroma but not a hint in the taste. A bitter stout with a rich creamy head. urnamesucks (92), New York City, New York, USA Aug 20, 2008 The classic draught. The bigger the better. I could drink them all day long. Is it true that if you drink 2 Guinness, a cup of OJ and a cup of milk and you get all your daily vitamins? I would bet a case on it. scooterbub (332), Lander, Wyoming, USA Aug 17, 2008 Updated: Jan 19, 200914.9 ounce can. Pours a very dark brown, almost black, with a very nice, massive, creamy, clingy, light tan head that lasts a while. Taste is of coffee, roasted malt, milk/cream and is bitter in the finish. Kind of light, but still tasty overall. Aroma matches the taste. Overall, this is a pretty enjoyable, fulfilling and refreshing beer that is nice to have every now and then. yesyouam (587), Fairport, New York, USA Aug 17, 2008 Updated: Jun 26, 2009Guinness Draught is a black beer with tawny highlights. It has a dense, creamy, khaki head that looks like ceramic. Almost no aroma can penetrate the head. There’s a slight whiff of cardboard and grain. It’s medium, maybe medium-light bodied; very smooth and silky with a pretty clean finish. There’s not much flavor, but hints of roast and a touch of metal. There’s a light, green bitterness at the finish. It almost tastes like an American stout. This was in a blind tasting with Beamish and Murphy’s, all in the nitro can. This one took top honors. fredandboboflo (1395), East Setauket, New York, USA Aug 17, 2008 Bottle. Aroma of come coffee and roasted malt. Flavor of, well, watery malt. Palate is, well, watery. It’s just not a very good beer.
