Pours black and creamy with flat carbonation. Aroma is classic stout, but very muted. Flavor is super smooth and creamy with small hints of malt. Pretty thin for a stout, but always a classic.

A- I don’t give many 5’s but appearance wise guinness takes the cake. While it certainly isn’t my favorite brew I think it would be hard to argue that the the appearance of guinness is anything other than a work of art. Creamy 2 finger head. Pours black with black emulsion that slowly settles towards the top. S- Smell is sweet, maple syrup, chocolate, and coffee notes. T- A bit watery, sweet, and a slight coffee taste. M- A bit watery, no carbonation whatsoever. D- This is definitely the definition of a session beer however I just don’t like the flavor or the mouthfeel.

One of the best stouts in the world. The nitrogen definitely contributes to the perfect mouthfeel. No other beer looks more appealing sitting in a pub glass.

Black in color with a good looking head. Smells of dark malts, light creaminess, some hops, coffee. Taste is slightly plain, light creaminess, slightly bitter. OK but not great.

I had it on tap multiple times during my stay in London, and its much better that in the bottle of course. It was very smooth and subtle, perhaps not anything striking, but definitely a delicious beer to just have while at the pub with your friends. The low carbonation makes it go down nice and easy.

I know, it’s big and commerical and overplayed, sold out, but less we forget it is the perfect intersection of form and function; easy to find, looks fantastic, tastes great, and you can drink it all night and you don’t feel like crap the next day. ..and how about the black and tan, half and half, irish car bomb, etc... It’s an institution.
