Guinness Draught

I know, it’s big and commerical and overplayed, sold out, but less we forget it is the perfect intersection of form and function; easy to find, looks fantastic, tastes great, and you can drink it all night and you don’t feel like crap the next day. ..and how about the black and tan, half and half, irish car bomb, etc... It’s an institution.

Pours deep black color with creamy, off-white head. Unbelieveably smooth though somewhat lacking in overall flavor. Best when served ice cold.

Everyone knows the Guinness. I personaly like it better in the relatively new Bottle format. Dark Black with creamy head. Aroma is mild. Serve very cold and the smoothness is incredible. Creamy roasted taste. Good simple Stout.

Black with beige creamy head.Aroma is rosted and mild,the mouth feeling is a bit like Mineralwater but smooth and creamy finish.A o.k tap beer.

Nice roasted malty aroma. Looks like heaven in a glass with a sandy head. Slightly watery mouthfeel, and very low on hops so theres plenty of maltiness to go around. Somewhat dry finish. Standard stout for those of us in the states.

I tried this beer on March 15, 2008 at ’McCabe’s Irish Pub’ in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. The beer was a dark murky brown with a thick, creamy tan coloured head that lasted a long time. The aroma was almost non-existent. The mouthfeel was full-bodied, but very little carbonation. The flavour was very reminiscent of diluted tea.

I’ve had this several times and never been impressed. Nice appearance, creamy head. the aroma and flavor are just unimpressive though. Thin, diacetyl, bitter chocolate and coffee, just not very good.

this is the bomb of the bombs event though its made in ireland it still rocks my catholic ass great beer great roasty flavor with a slight of bitterness great crisp mouth feel
