I thought I’d have rated this by now, but apparently not... Pour from a 14.9 nitro can. Beautiful looking brew - black with a creamy tan head. Moderate aroma of roasted malt, coffe. taste is modest sweetness at the start, transitioning to a roasted grain dominated bitterness. Nice clean and dry finish. Palate is average. A fine mainstay.

What can be said about Guinness that hasn’t already been said? Poured properly there isn’t a more beautiful sight. A badly poured pint of "the black" should be punishable by death. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The one and only Guinness... Should really get a number of different ratings based on distance to the brewery... I’ve had it there (twice), in many pubs in Dublin, and then in many other pubs around the world. The difference is huge. That said, I’ll be rating a GOOD Guinness (Dublin drunk) here. Pours black, obviously, with an incredibly thick and creamy head. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, nuts and some sweetness from dried dark fruits. Taste is sweet and creamy with a solid bitter backbone and a fairly long finish. Body is richer than anything else and very creamy.

Pours opaque black with dense head. Mild coffee aroma. Mildly sweet up front with mild malt flavors. Very creamy smooth on the palate. Finishes very smooth with slight touch of bitterness. Ironic stout.

Completely black with little head. This one came from a bottle and I was not sure of the nitrogen infusion like with the cans. The aroma is not too strong but has that roasted aspect. Light to medium-bodied and smooth. Not like on tap, but smooth nonetheless! Slightly bitter and clean finish

No need for another extensive review of this famous stout. Yes, it lacks something compared to many, many other stouts, but yet it is unique, and has a place in the beer world that will survive forever.
