Launched in 1961.

I like it, although the draught can version is a bit too watery for me. People look at me as if I’m crazy for liking the darker beers.

THE Stout! A bit too much of bitterness in my opinion. Beautifull white head, nice carbonation

My favorite of any extremely-common beer, and a fantastic standby. Very light, sweet aroma due to the soft, thick head. What follows is a sweet, bready taste which feels full in the mouth and finishes with a full woody aftertaste. That smoky taste can be unpleasant to a lot of people, but I think it’s fantastic. And also, I know it says you can enjoy it straight from the bottle or can, but if you can get a truly slow-poured draft from the tap, or slowly pour it yourself from the bottle, I think it’s better.

Pitch black colour, thick creamy head. Roasted malt flavour with a hint of sourness.

Nice carbonation noticed when uncapping the bottle. Nice beige colored head. Black in color with a redish brown tint when held up to light. Very malty aroma with no hop aroma present. Very insipid flavor with a slight bitterness at the end. Leaves a clean pallet. Overall an average beer. Would make a good "lawn mower" beer.

Can’t believe I hadn’t rated this yet. Pours pitch black with a thick, creamy tan head. Aroma is creamy roasted malts. Flavor is dry roasted malts with some coffee and some hops. Good stuff.

Always a smooth and creamy experience. Great mouth feel, not much an after taste. Super dark with a beautifully white head.

TAP. Appearance is a 4 becuase of the nitro off-white head and the dark body. I love watching the head rise to the top and form. Nice lacing too. Palate is smooth. Decent beer. But I like my dark beers to be thick and full of flavor. This tastes like a good beer that was watered down. A disappointment in that it doesn’t reach its full potential.
