Pours black with a big, creamy looking beige head. Its about as perfect as you get. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, and coffee. Taste is chocolate and coffee, and mildly bitter. Aftertaste is more coffeeish than anything else. LIght in body with a creamy texture. Soft carbonation. There isnít much more here. Its pretty simple and straightforward. It isnít anything amazing, yet it is very solid. Its a classic that can be enjoyed anytime.

How have I not rated this? Before the craft ale explosion, this was often a "default" pint. If you havenít sampled it and formed your own opinion, do so now. Otherwise, Iím not sure what youíre doing on this site. I still enjoy the occasional pint, but NEVER the extra cold version. Years ago, I laid off the beer for 18 months due to a medical condition, and despite the fact that I rarely drank it before abstinence, this was the beer I craved, and what I eventually supped on my return to the fold. Ubiquitous and rarely disappointing, terrifyingly consistent, there are those who say it tastes uniquely different in Dublin, but this is blarney.

Aroma: coffee, not to strong. I think nice. Color: black, clear, very nice nitro head. Taste: medium (but good for it) bitterness and medium sourness. Palate: light body, thin feel. One of the best in this class.

Draught in local - pours a dark brown - black with tan head. Marketing is superb, prob has best reputation out of all the macro beers on here. Aroma of coffee, roast with little bitterness to finish.

Used to be a huge Guinness drinker before craft. Still a pretty decent pour thatís readily available. The best part is the deep reddish brown pour with the thick thick light tan colored head that laces your glass the whole way down. Aromas of roasted malts, toast grains, and somewhat of a metallic finish. Creamy thick mouthfeel, with a dry finish.

Draught. Worlds best known stout. Pours a dark brown with off white head. Roasted coffee - light on palate despite the appearance.

440ml can from local shop. Pours black-dark brown in colour with a creamy beige head and aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, dark fruity. Flavour is roasted malty, sweetish powdered chocolate, raisins, fruity notes, slightly bitter. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry light bitter finish. Quite OK.

The Irish milkshake!!! What can I say about Guinness that hasn't already been said. It's a beer but it's also it's own category of beer. Pours a midnight red color with a pillowy off white head. There is always a generous lacing whether can, bottle, or draft. Super smooth flavor with roasted espresso notes. A classic mainstay and always a go to favorite for a pick me up. Call it beer or mother's milk it's intangible spiritual qualities will immortalize Guinness on most bar's tap menus.

On tap Michael Collins, Brussels. Tasted dozens of times before in different countries, so time to rate finally. Smooth, creamy, aroma and taste mainly roasted coffee. A classic. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
