Mother’s milk! It is an acquired taste. This means drink it for a week or two. Trust me, it is so worth it. On a side note, it is actually good for you too.

Draught in local - pours a dark brown - black with tan head. Marketing is superb, prob has best reputation out of all the macro beers on here. Aroma of coffee, roast with little bitterness to finish.

Used to be a huge Guinness drinker before craft. Still a pretty decent pour that’s readily available. The best part is the deep reddish brown pour with the thick thick light tan colored head that laces your glass the whole way down. Aromas of roasted malts, toast grains, and somewhat of a metallic finish. Creamy thick mouthfeel, with a dry finish.

Draught. Worlds best known stout. Pours a dark brown with off white head. Roasted coffee - light on palate despite the appearance.

440ml can from local shop. Pours black-dark brown in colour with a creamy beige head and aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, dark fruity. Flavour is roasted malty, sweetish powdered chocolate, raisins, fruity notes, slightly bitter. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry light bitter finish. Quite OK.

This I keep stock for everyday consumption. Also a favorite when out to dinner. It’s a great social beer.

The Irish milkshake!!! What can I say about Guinness that hasn't already been said. It's a beer but it's also it's own category of beer. Pours a midnight red color with a pillowy off white head. There is always a generous lacing whether can, bottle, or draft. Super smooth flavor with roasted espresso notes. A classic mainstay and always a go to favorite for a pick me up. Call it beer or mother's milk it's intangible spiritual qualities will immortalize Guinness on most bar's tap menus.

UPDATED: DEC 22, 2014 11.2 oz. bottle from Trader Joe’s. Pours dark brown; turns black. Light tan to almost eggshell white head. Nose of mild yeast and malt. What makes this beer interesting is that it’s a light beer even though they don’t call it a light beer. That said, it has a nice flavor. Taste of mild caramel roastiness, slightly grassy, a bit of dark chocolate with a little hop bitterness on the back end. It’s dry and light; an excellent easily drinkable session brew.

Peu habitué et pas amateur du style, elle reste encore accessible malgré une certaine lourdeur et une arrière bouche malt grillé café, qui ne me plaisent pas. Bue à la pression à Paris, à Londres et à Stockholm.
