Ungstrup (14724), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 10, 2003 A black beer with a beutiful brown creamy head. The aroma is slight - too slight - but with notes of sweetness and roasted malt. The flavor is creamy smooth with a sweet malty start and ending on a slight roasted note, that lingers a little and turns dry. Not a good stout - too thin. Papsoe (14613), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 28, 2005 Updated: Jun 13, 2005(Can 50 cl) Fine, dense brownish head from the nitrogen-widget (which somehow also makes this rather flat). Black as original sin, slightly burned and bitter - typical Guinness. 300503 omhper (12153), Stockholm, Sweden May 25, 2002 Black, creamy, roasty, dry and bitter. This was once upon a time one of my favourite beer, but since that I’ve learned a lot. It is not exactly subtle, but far better than most other mega brews. yespr (11613), Copenhagen O, Denmark Oct 3, 2007 1 pint from tap in Heathrow airport. Pours black with a brown head. Aroma is rather mildly malty, slight roasted. Smooth mouthfeel. Flavour is roasted malty with a minor sweet note and slight citric note breaking through the otherwise very smooth beer. Ends is a slight roasted bitterness. Nice. fonefan (10868), VestJylland, Denmark Aug 12, 2006 Brown-black colour. Beautiful medium-sized beige head that lasts fine. Aromas of coffee, dark chocolate and sugars. Tastes sweet, but not a very carachterful or complex-tasting beer. oh6gdx (8795), Vasa, Finland Feb 12, 2005 Tapped. Dark brown (close to black) with huge brown foamy head. Mainly smoky aroma with small soapish tone. Flavour is smoky with hints of rye bread. Good palate and wellbalanced taste. MiP (8793), Sønderborg, Denmark Nov 4, 2004 "Draught" can. Black with creamy, light brown head. Roasted aroma. Roasted, bitter flavour with some sourness.
