Usually called Draught; sometimes called Cold or Extra Cold - same beer, but served colder. Abv ranges from 4.1 to 4.3 % depending on where it was brewed (Guinness exports a hopped and concentrated wort to regional breweries who then brew it on site).
Launched in 1961.
Ingredients: Pale ale malt, about 25 to 30% flaked barley, and about 10% roasted barley, with no other grains or sugars; several hop varieties, mainly Goldings (pellets and isomerized extract); a flocculent head-forming ale yeast.

Drinking this beer is like wearing a velvet shirt, sitting on a velvet sofa, while drinking liquified velvet. Super smooth, pillowy puffs of malt and barley on top of a beer cloud. Decent choice, but ideally reserved for St. Patrick’s Day.

Ah it seemed as if it were yesterday that I made my first foray into the realm of dark beers by the bottleneck of a Guinness Draught. Please understand my slightly timid approach to consume something of near polar opposite nature to clear golden lagers. Many many many...many pints later I shall digress. The most uniform beer in a glass the head is near milkshake density of pillowy nitrogenous orgy, light tan in color. The color is dark brown with ruby highlights at the outer edge. The aroma is slightly lactose, light milk chocolate and roast barley note. Prunes in the end. In the taste the body is on the light side for a stout. Super smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Light roast and caramel flavors with dark fruit (plum) in the finish. In reminiscing I always enjoy coming back to a pint of this to well... reminisce.

Pours black with a foamy tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt and coffee. Taste is mild and bittersweet with ripe fruits, nuts, roasty flavours and some coffee. Having a Guinness every now and then is always a pleasure.

Draft. Dark with Ruby red tinge, the creamy head is great and goes well with the malty, biscuity, subtle chocolate and bitter finish.. Always enjoyable and light enough to have a few.

Can. Black with perfect foam. A classic beer. Roasted, coffee, some dried dark fruits and some nuts. I like this one and still remember my first Guinness. I’ve saved it for my rating nr 500.

Bottle - Pours dark brown/black, creamy tan head. Aroma of dark roasted malt and butter. Flavors of scorched pancakes, weak coffee, and a tart middle. Very mild hops finish.

Can, 0.44l. ABV of 4.3%. Pours dark ruby, almost black body with creamy, slightly off-white head that lasts. Smell is roasted malts and coffee, slight chocolate. Thin body, very softly carbonated. Surprisingly watery texture. Slightly bitter taste with roasty and dry mouthfeel. Sadly lacking in aroma department. Roasted malts, licorice, coffee... not bad, but quite watered down. Finish is medium lasting and dry. Overall, very mediocre. Expected more out of this.

I’ll always have a soft spot for Guinness - it’s easily my go to beer to enjoy if I end up somewhere that doesn’t stock all the trendy IPAs I like to enjoy. Always pours well, consistent pretty much everywhere, one of the better mainstream beers for me.
