3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20

Gotta love good old guinness! This is the beer that comes to mind when I think of stout: a thick, dark and minerally brew that tastes of oats, fresh baked bread and dark chocolate.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Smells really creamy and sweet. Creamy, caramel and sweet taste. Light bitterness that sits down in front of the mouth to a weak moment. But still a classic drink. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Almost black with off-white head. Roasty aroma, some chocolate, but not very strong. A decent stout flavor, but a little thinner feeling than most. Good, for a mass-market.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Hard to argue with this classic. I just returned from a trip to England where we swam the channel, and I have to say having this on draft at a small pub in Dover is one of the cooler experiences you can have.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
For a widely available stout, this is pretty good. Had it many times. Roasty flavors and aromas with just a hint of cocoa. Extremely smooth. Great and fresh stout

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draught @ Dubliners Cph: Pours dark brown with persistent creamy white head and low carbonation. Aroma contains caramel, grain, cream, chocolate, coffee and mineral hints. medium body with dry finish - overall a light stout with a nice try twist

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pint from Nine Bar, Newcastle. Pours deep black with a luxuriant creamy head which lasts. Ends up feeling a touch thinner in the mouth than you might expect but the extremely satisfying roasted flavour makes up for that

3.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
First Guinness! First appearances are amazing, to watch the head form (poured from can). Absolutely opaque black, head with tight beading, colour of milk coffee. First reaction to taste was a thinness?, probably actually the low carbonation. The dark malt character is very light on the palate, making this a far lighter flavour impact than I expected. Can understand how this could be drunk all day.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A classic! Deep, rich brown/ almost pitch black* pour (*actual color is amber according to their website but I can only vaguely distinguish that during the long pour) with a huge foamy tan head which Guinness is so well known for. Flavour of roasted malts, barley, chocolate, coffee etc. Can’t go wrong with this! I’d also like to make a note that this draught has a very very low carbonation level - and thus I can down a pint of it in 5 seconds flat. Cheers!
