3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap @several places. Light coffee, caramel and spicy and roasted aromas. Pours very dark, murky, with really creamy tan head, persistent, good lacing. Oily texture, flat carbonation, medium body. Taste is really smooth, mild bitter, coffee and cocoa notes. Short aftertaste.

On tap Michael Collins, Brussels. Tasted dozens of times before in different countries, so time to rate finally. Smooth, creamy, aroma and taste mainly roasted coffee. A classic.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
11.2 oz. bottle from Trader Joe’s. Pours dark brown; turns black. Light tan to almost eggshell white head. Nose of mild yeast and malt. What makes this beer interesting is that, at 123 calories 4.2 ABV, it is a light beer even though they don’t call it a light beer. That said, it provides some nice flavor for what it is which is why I like it. Taste of caramel roastiness, slightly grassy, mild dark chocolate with a little hop bitterness on the back end. It’s dry and light; a good trade-off between a dark beer and something thin and easily drinkable.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Peu habitué et pas amateur du style, elle reste encore accessible malgré une certaine lourdeur et une arrière bouche malt grillé café, qui ne me plaisent pas. Bue à la pression à Paris, à Londres et à Stockholm.

Guinness is a standby for a reason. Just an all-around good beer. As with most beers, it’s only made better when paired with the right burger or pizza.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours black. Nice brown head, which stays. In aroma iron, some roasty, some chocolate. In taste watery, with some sourness and bitterness. Medium to light body, oily texture, little bit sticky. Almost flat carbonation. Bitter finish. Looks fabulous, but taste could be better.

Slight roasted chocolate flavor. Very smooth on the palate. Really easy to drink, especially with pie. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Ok, it looks absolutely impeccable: great foam, color. But there’s something in the taste i cannot stand (this special kind of sourness), not even mentioning that it lacks any aroma. Too watery and flat.
