Pours black with creamy tan head. Good retention. Malty smell, rather faint. Taste is malty and slightly bready, mild bitter aftertaste. Not a lot of flavor for a stout. Light body for a stout as well. Nitrogen is a big contributor to the taste of this beer. Recommend Guinness Extra Stout or even better Guinness Foreign Stout.

11.2 oz. bottle from Trader Joe’s. Pours dark brown; turns black. Light tan to almost eggshell white head. Nose of mild yeast and malt. What makes this beer interesting is that, at 123 calories 4.2 ABV, it is a light beer even though they don’t call it a light beer. That said, it provides some nice flavor for what it is which is why I like it. Taste of caramel roastiness, slightly grassy, mild dark chocolate with a little hop bitterness on the back end. It’s dry and light; a good trade-off between a dark beer and something thin and easily drinkable.

Peu habitué et pas amateur du style, elle reste encore accessible malgré une certaine lourdeur et une arrière bouche malt grillé café, qui ne me plaisent pas. Bue à la pression à Paris, à Londres et à Stockholm.

Guinness is a standby for a reason. Just an all-around good beer. As with most beers, it’s only made better when paired with the right burger or pizza.

Pours a very deep amber with foamy creamy head with widget. Aroma is dark fruits slight caramel slight grassy hop mild dark and milk chocolate. Taste follows the aroma well with a little hop bitterness on the back end. Medium to heavy mouth feel. Very smooth! Extremely drinkable! !

Pours black. Nice brown head, which stays. In aroma iron, some roasty, some chocolate. In taste watery, with some sourness and bitterness. Medium to light body, oily texture, little bit sticky. Almost flat carbonation. Bitter finish. Looks fabulous, but taste could be better.

Slight roasted chocolate flavor. Very smooth on the palate. Really easy to drink, especially with pie. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Ok, it looks absolutely impeccable: great foam, color. But there’s something in the taste i cannot stand (this special kind of sourness), not even mentioning that it lacks any aroma. Too watery and flat.

Can at home. Poured a dark brown with a fair and solid white head. Smells of wood, earth and slight coffee. Tastes sweet with a coffee finish. Everybody should try this one.
