Drinking a Guinness is an experience; waiting for it to settle is filled with anticipation. There is a great balances between subtle bitterness and full body; all in what you could easilty call a light beer.

Guiness is een veels te donker bier waar je bijna het gevoel hebt dat je er op moet kauwen. De bittere smaak doet je denken aan een te oud kopje koffie. Niet bier waardig.

As a red-headed Irishman I am obligated to love Guinness. The dark roasted flavor, creamy mouth feel, the characteristic head. I honestly feel closer to my Irish family with one in hand

Dark Brown stout. Nice ama of wood and toast. Really dull taste though. Light taste of coffee. Watery palate which I really donít like. Not at all a good stout in my opinion.

I canít say enough how much I love the liquid gold that is Guinness. Iíve tried many other stouts and I just canít find one as smooth, delicious, and overall pleasing as the original stout.

Iím a novice to beer, but this is a beautiful beer with good taste and a great, creamy mouth feel. When I think of a dry stout - this is what I think of.

Available in cans, kegs and bottles with nitrogen and carbon dioxide. Pasteurised. Usually called Draught; sometimes called Cold or Extra Cold - same beer, but served colder.
Launched in 1961.
Ingredients: Pale ale malt, about 25 to 30% flaked barley, and about 10% roasted barley, with no other grains or sugars; several hop varieties, mainly Goldings (pellets and isomerized extract); a flocculent head-forming ale yeast.

Very dark beer with a nice, long lasting head. Roasted aroma, a bit milky taste. Not so sweet, rather salty with a bitter finish. Medium body with soft carbonation. Definitely a good beer, but not my style.

Nice roasty aroma, tan head, roasty stout flavor. Very good in every aspect except body. This one is so thin bodied. Extra stout is very similar but with more body.
