Either way does the trick! Its one of those beers that you can just drink one of and be happy, but you can also have a massive session on aswell! VIVA LA GUINNESS- MY REASON FOR LIVING Amras (3), Washington, Washington DC, USA does not count Jan 4, 2008 My drink of choice. Guinness is THE stout to which all others are compared. Pours black with a pale tan head that develops from the nitrogen cascade (a beautiful sight to behold). MrStitch (138), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 8, 2008 Yes again I give Guinness a perfect score, Draught not Extra Stout this time but none the less a Guinness with a perfect score. To me Guinness is what all other stouts strive to be. Smooth and refreshing with a nice clean aftertaste I can drink Guinness year round and be happy. Be it draught or extra stout these are my two all time favorite stouts and they deserve perfect scores from me. "That wonderful malty coffee aroma, the dark brown almost black color, and that smooth taste that you almost have to smoke after... to me it’s perfect. A pint of Guinness and a glass of Jameson’s 18 year and to me life doesn’t get any better." from my review of Guinness Extra, the same can be said here. charlelos (14), SAN ANTONIO, Texas, USA Feb 20, 2008 I am an Arthur’s Guinness man. I have always consumed Guinness. Thank the Irish and the Lord. Leighton (234), New York, New York, USA Jan 10, 2009 My goodness! My Guinness. A lot can be - and has been - said about this beer. Its iconic status is basically unparalleled in the beer world - and for good reason. Guinness is simply wonderful. The thick, creamy head; the dark stout below...I can’t think of another beer so recognizable. People have different opinions about Guinness and its taste. I usually detect hints of coffee and chocolate. I always detect hints of complete deliciousness. Some people disagree with me, and they’re just stupid. I lived in Dublin for five months, so I have more than a special place for Guinness in my heart. And Guinness really is good for you. A 12oz serving has 9.9 carbs and 110 calories, which is way better than most beers of this caliber. I realize that this entry is a bit rambling and disjointed; I’ll fix it up later. I just wanted to get a rating up here. BusBoy (20), , California, USA Jul 14, 2008 Beyond what beer is, it is the best example of expert beer craft. Despite what the poster 2 down from me said about taking an " average stout. Mix it 50/50 with water.".... bilge and tripe... Guinness is the ORIGINAL STOUT! Before this there wasn’t one! The best brew on the planet.
It’s heaven slowly captured and condensed into a smooth black nectar that smells of peat smoke and ocean breeze. Thirst quenching to the last. Tastes better with eggs at breakfast than it does with steak at supper. Smooth, creamy head compliments the dynamic bitter character that gets the palate excited. The tingle of the Nitrogen charge brings the mellow, toasted finish to a close. Much nicer than the CO2 extra stout. I give this a 5! MrAleman (111), Wiltshire, England Aug 28, 2008 Updated: Sep 6, 2008Can’t beat a good guinness. The creamyness on top is always a delight, then the bitter full flavour of the pint itself is excellent. Apparent health benefits add to the point of Guinness BlackAndTan (2), Glen Carbon, Illinois, USA does not count Aug 30, 2008 Updated: Feb 1, 2009Absolutely the best beer that I can say that I have had so far. There is nothing like sitting in McGurk’s in St Louis and taking down some Guinness or some Black n Tan’s. Go Irish, Go Guiness.
