Perhaps the Swiss in Tacoma served it too cold, but I prefered what I got out of the nito-can better. I truly believe that certain beers, especially ones with dark roasted flavors, need to be observed/tasted somewhere between refridgerator and room temperature. Nonetheless, all the wonder of Guinessís ícascadingí froth, and a taaste I havnít found in another beer.

Great everyday stout, but after trying some others, mire complex and tasty this seemed to me low profile

Iíll admit that at times I am a sucker for a good deal on a twelve pack at the grocery store. Who can pass up a box of this for eleven ninety nine? I couldnít. Unfortunately, straight from the bottle, this product falls well short of the magic that is a fresh keg of dark Irish love.

Coffee roast with notes of chocolate in the aroma. Appearance is a very dark brown, almost black with a large creamy off tan head with good lacing. Moderate roast character with notes of chocolate in the flavor with a moderate acidic note on the end. Finishes dry. Creamy medium high body with low carbonation. Slightly astringent from the roasted barley. Overall, it's the classic dry stout. Great session beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Everything said about guinness. On tap better for sure. Black, creamy head, soft body, good taste. Great if you are in a bar watching a soccer game.

14.9 ounce nitro can. Barely translucent deep brown color. Small creamy light tan head. Mild nutty roasted malt nose. Subtle, smooth earthy roasted malt flavor. Slightly lactic character with tangy notes. Hints of worcestershire and toasted bread. This is the first stout I ever tasted some 35 years ago. It was fuller and richer tasting back then, at least in my recollection. Still, this is the benchmark of dry stouts. And it always tastes a little better on St. Patrickís Day. Wonderful stuff this Guinness.
