O so creamy. Not many beer look as good as this one it is a fun beer to watch. Poor is black but runs back up the glass tan and full of bubbles with a thick tan head. Cream and silky like lighty bitter milk. One of the best draughts on the market.

Iím a novice to beer, but this is a beautiful beer with good taste and a great, creamy mouth feel. When I think of a dry stout - this is what I think of.

Very dark beer with a nice, long lasting head. Roasted aroma, a bit milky taste. Not so sweet, rather salty with a bitter finish. Medium body with soft carbonation. Definitely a good beer, but not my style.

Nice roasty aroma, tan head, roasty stout flavor. Very good in every aspect except body. This one is so thin bodied. Extra stout is very similar but with more body.

Bottle.
Appearance: Deep chestnut to black body, opaque through all but the thinnest edges. A foamy yet creamy light tan head is perched on top.
Aroma: Big creamer aroma like coffee with a mild yeasty fruitiness and a prominent but mild roasted malt aroma. This actually smells much better than I remembered, but itís slightly off.
Taste: The flavor has a sour tinge to it with a watery intro. The flavor is really flat until the finish which gets slightly chalky with a nice creamy light chocolate mousse finish, a touch of roasted malts. This is really nice on the finish, shame everything else is meh.
Palate: This is watery, I get nitro beers, but this is basically creamy water.
Overall: Well I came here expecting to hate this beer. Iíve had it twice in my life before, not in a mixed drink of any sort, and have hated it. This isnít so bad, thereís a potential for something great but I canít help but get a going bad milk/creamer flavor and aroma.

12oz bottle pours a reddish black with a thick off white head and dense lacing. Aroma and flavor is signature Guinness. Drink one and youíll know Iím talking about. Good beer.

Tastes quite bland, hasnít got the metallic bitterness that craft stouts have, very easy drinking, but nothing more

Even after trying all the craft brews (most I have never rated here) Guiness is one of the few beers I thought was decent when my palate was horrible and still think of it as good. Guiness has put a lot of effort into encouraging bars to serve their drinks properly and to install specific nitro tap systems to get a fine texture one that I do appreciate. Guiness is a simple stout but there are no flaws and it has a freshness to itís bitterness I canít ignore. I always lose hope to corrupt a none craft beer drinker into liking craft brews when they tell me what they drink followed by "but I canít handle guiness" as if it is the heaviest in weight and highest in abv. If guiness is too much flavor an ipa and god forbid an imperial anything will kill you!

0.5l can. A black beer with a brown creamy head. Sweet aroma of caramel, coffee and dark chocolate. Bitter taste of roasted malt. Dry finish.
