Guinness is a classic. When cold, it does not have very much of a scent out of the can. Smells like milk, slight toast scent. The taste is dry, and a roasted, toast-like bitterness takes over. The palate is of course extremely creamy.

The best stout! Beautiful creamy foam on the top, carbon black brew and malty taste. Tastes best on draft.

Decent, reliable, abundant. Always rated it in my mind as the herald of beers but now i reckon it’s just an intro into the world of darks. on tap on whyte ave edmonton. Misrated this and fixing it now: Initial Rating Date: 8/15/2011 1:23:41 AM

Classic creamy beer. Have always loved to watch the golden bubbles rise and die in the glass. Excellent roasty and bitter taste. One of the best beers that you know they’ll have.

Pours a thick black on tap with solid tan head and great lacing from the nitrogen. Smell is slight roasted malt and soy. Taste is similar with a nice creamy finish. One of my original go to beers, truly a favorite.

A black beer with a light tan head. Scent of malts and a hint of molasses. Taste is roasted coffee with a smooth light bitterness.

Rating #38 for 2012 12oz bottle cold from a stem glass. Burnt malt aroma, slighly sweet. Opaque almost black with a thin pale clay colored head, and streaky tan lacing. Taste was bland chalky slight burt malt with a creamy finish. Palate was watery with almost no carbonation. Was more enjoyable as it warmed. Very boring for a Stout.
