Solid commercial beer but lacks depth. There is certainly a funky edge to the palate. Interesting but lacks texture.

W zapachu z butelki przede wszystkim zbożowe, palone, kawowe. Piana niezwykle wręcz wysoka, beżowa, średnio-zwarta. Najpierw się dziurawi, a później powoli opada. W barwie całkowicie czarne, pod światło przebłyskuje głęboką czerwienią. W aromacie ze szkła jest czekoladowe, palone w sposób przywodzący na myśl zbożową kawę. Pierwszy łyk – lekkie w odczuciu, zadziwiająco słodkie jak na dry stout, prawdziwie wytrawne staje się dopiero w końcówce. Kwaśność pojawiająca się z czasem jest wyraźnie w kawowym stylu, a goryczka, choć niewielka, to pozwala na wyraźne rozróżnienie, która jej część pochodzi od chmielu, a która od prażonego jęczmienia. Potężna piana na początku pozwala obniżyć wysycenie do typowego dla stylu niskiego poziomu, co jeszcze podbija i tak bardzo wysoką pijalność.
