UPDATED: SEP 25, 2013 Dark brown with a lasting brown lacy head. Smells of roasted chocolate malt with sugar, nut and smoked malt. Medium Frothy body. Taste of roasted grain almost burnt, nut and a dry bitter roast finish. Some elements of fruitiness like blackberry. I like the dryness.

There’s a medium amount of foam. Pours nicely, the looks are dark brown. Beige foam that stays only a couple of minutes. Medium roasted malts, very dry taste. Some bitterness. Medium body, slick texture, lively carbonation. The finish is drastically longer than with basic Guinness, I like this much more.

Pours pitch black with a creamy tanned head. Mildly sour aroma with hints of roasted coffee and chocolate. Aroma too low. OK, but nothing more.

smells like a dark burnt piece of bread fresh from the oven with hints of coffee and chocolate. creamy yet fizzy thick foam with a beige color. black color, perhaps signs of dark red. simple and clean taste of burnt bread with no tangy aftertaste and a balanced bitterness. a good example of a good macro beer that doesn’t try to pad their beers with obscure flavors. overall a great stout.

Kosmokrator (822) - ITALY - AUG 2, 2012

Argonian (280) - Athens, GREECE - JUL 9, 2012
Bottle. Pours a black body, with a light brown head that diminishes after a few minutes, leaving a good lace. Malty and caramel aroma(a little faint though). Very nice bitterness in taste, along with notes of coffee. Oily texture, thin to medium body, Medium carbonation level - would’ve preffered it a little softer - , overall, it’s a beer that a liked, but it could be better. Prefer the draught version.

Cunningham (6769) - Halden, NORWAY - JUN 28, 2012
Black colour with an off white head. Coffee and roasted malt aroma. Roasted malt, coffee and licorice flavour. A bit thinner body than the draft version. Anyway a fine stout even when the sun shines.
[Bottle from Systembolaget in Strömstad, Sweden]
