After the beer was served in the glass there was found a lasting quantity not wall adhesive light brown foam collar which was fine and evenly of structure. The beer also contained no carbonic acid in the glass. The beer has a clear black color and a hoppybitter taste. The after tast of the beer is hoppybitter with a light roasted malty touch. This beer smells malty.

33cl brown bottle. Pitch-black impenetrable colour, small offwhite head that collapses quickly, no lacing. Low carbonation, creamy mouth feel. Aroma of toffee and coffee beans. Taste is semi-sweet cocoa and espresso, with bitter finish and dry after taste. Much more likeable than the regular "Guinness Draught", this one - thankfully - misses out on the Draught’s cold-coal note. Good, not great stout.

Dark brown with a lasting tan head. Mild roasted aroma of toffee, caramel and chocolate. Dry and roasted, rather thin flavour with a roasted bitter finish.

Flaske 0,33l kjøpt på Systembolaget i Kiruna. Dyp brunrød farge. Nesten svart.

33cl bottle in Belgrade. Surprisingly strong roast coffee, earthy notes. Much stronger flavor than I remember from draft guinness, harsher too. Tart, bitter and dry. Large foamy head with chocolate acid on the nose. Quite nice.

UPDATED: SEP 22, 2009 Bottle from Systembolaget. Black beer with beautiful light brown head. Aroma is quite rich with coffee, roasty maltines and several other tastes I can’t describe. Very enjoable dry stout!

330ml bottle. Dark brown color with rich creamy white foam as usual in irish beers. Nice coffe-grain malt taste fulfilling beer thirst. Pretty good for a dry stout and can easily be found here in greece.

Dark brown/black colour, thick, creamy small head that is beige, and lots of lacing. Aroma is rather subtle, but has both roasted notes and notes of coffee and chocolate and a cler prescence of hops in it. Flavour is full of coffee a bit of smoke and a crisp hoppy bitterness that is appealing. The body is a bit weak though, this keeps it from getting a higher mark. Mouthfeel is neither bad or good, just plain average. This is a good stout, but there are loads and loads of better ones out there. Serving type: bottle

UPDATED: AUG 8, 2011 Germany: Dark brown. Very rich, rocky head. Fruity, roasty aroma with lots of complexity. Dry, fruity, yeasty character. Light roasty in the dryish finish. A tasty variant. 7-4-8-4-15 = 3.8

Israel: Dark brown with a rocky head. Smells a little bit like a malta, but slight nuttiness to the caramel. A little bit thin, with vague caramel and not much roast. Not dissimilar to the Labatt’s version. 6-3-5-2-11 = 2.7
