3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled (BB 07/2005)
Well-known Guinness outlook: opaque black with creamy expresso head. Quite mild nose with roasted malts and milk chocolate. Smooth, watery with hard metallic mouthfeel. Lacks bitterness in the mouthfeel totally. Roasted flavors come in the aftertaste. Quite tasteless.

on tap in lyon, FR. Servered a lot colder then normal guniess. Seemed a little light, but still had the same look and feel of normal guniess. Iīd have to say this works.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pitch black beauty common for Guiness. White , creamy head. Hints of roasted coffee, chocolates. Some malt. Tasted a bit different than what we get in the states, but I couldnt really put my finger on it. lighter than the draught though.

Many judge Extra stout after drinking Guinness Draught. Iíll say that itís not for everyone - but a must-taste for ones who like their beer bitter.

Black beer with white head, strong taste of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate. Bitterness from dark malt and from hop. Very original.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This is a nice stout. Smelled a bit wine like. Lookes quite nice, with a black "body" and a fine brownish head. Has a persistent coffee taste with some hints of chocolate barely showing through.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: APR 29, 2007 Bottle... Pitch black with a very, very creamy, thick, small, white head. The main difference between this version and the American version of Guinness seems to be the head. It is thicker and much more creamy. Toasty, roasted, burnt malts. Notes of dark chocolate, coffee/espresso, molasses/licorice. Licorice is a little more prodominant than in the American version. Pillow-soft carbonation as always. Very good dry stout. Thanks to Christine for bringing this back from the U.K.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Nice big brown foam, black colored beer. Very malty and roasted coffee aroma, very good. Dimensional flavor in this beer: starts with little bite of carbonation, next comes full bodied feeling with roasted malt taste. Flavor ends with strong and cutting hops, which give dry and bitter aftertaste and that affect is also very lasting. MAN I like this beer! Shame that bottle is so little (330ml) and I have only one of it.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Light brown creamy head. Black color. Aroma is malty, roasty with coffee notes. Flavor is malty too with chocolate and coffee tones, ending in a dry slightly bitter ricolice finish. Light to medium bodied.
