3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. This is the one without the Nitrogen capule, and it is quite evident on the head, which is lighter, a lot more patchy, and disappear extremely sooner than the version with nitrogen. The aroma is about the same: caffee, chocolate, karamel and burnt malt. The color is dark mahogny to silky black. Some hops in the aroma. This beer has a somewhat watery mouthfeel, and it has a CO2 bite. I think there are some earthy hints in it. I believe that the brewery can do better than this, in particular for a beer with its reputation.

Una stout molto conosciuta. Colore ebano scuro, nero, con schiuma nocciola, compatta, finissima e a lunga persistenza. Note tostate, di caffè e tostato, al palato molto dolce, buona presenza dei malti. altamente beverina

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aroma: smoked and roasted notes.
Appearance: clear dark color, nice beige head.
Taste: medium bitterness, roasted dark malts, smoked notes, herbs, roasted caramel, acidness.
Palate: low body and medium carbonation, roasted finish.
Overall: Why this Guinness is so smoked ? I don’t know, but really like it.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
33 cl bottle; BB 24/06/15. Produced in Belgium and labelled as "Original" not "Extra Stout" but it should be the same thing I think. Pours a dark brown - black in the glass - with a big thick creamy head that retains and laces. Nose is sourish black bread crust and roasted malts that recall cold coffee, but it also has a smoky and ashy undertone. Taste is sourish roasty malts and light roasted coffee, some sweetness, and also bitterness. Palate dry, body light to medium, carbonation mild but sharp. It comes no close to the draught version but it’s still very decent.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Couleur noire, bonne mousse beige. Nez de malt grillé. Gout de malt grillé, café mais avec amertume moyenne bonne. Assez aqueuse, mais ca passe. Moins bonne que la foreign extra stout!

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
It similar enough and as good as the conventional Guinness, but the head isn’t as frothy. It kind of takes all of the fun out of Guinness.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Spar, Rethymno. Pours almost entire black with a big creamy beige head. Aroma is malty, roasted with some hops as well. Taste is moderate dry malty, dark fruits with a light sour roasty finish, nice enough.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Another one that I’ve forgot to rate. Similar taste as the Guinness draught one but with a lack on the body and creamy head. Not as impressive as the draught one.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Gutes Stout. Kaffenoten sind hier dominant. Ein sanfter, fast "sahniger" Geschmack, nicht allzu bitter. Gut und gut erhältlich.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
33cl @ bottle. La tanto decantata Guinness come previsto si è rivelata la classica birra commerciale, solo che è una scura invece che una lager. Non una merda ma non da spenderci altri soldi.
