2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Inbreak (247) - Loddefjord, NORWAY - JUN 18, 2013
10.06.2013, 0,35l bottle @ NY hotel room:
Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly roasted, dark malts, coffee, almond essence, unripe banana, grass, dark sugar, burnt caramel. Taste is grass, hops, dark malts, alcohol, burnt caramel, hay, toffee. Medium bitterness, dry mouthfeel. Boring!
3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 OKplus (549) - Oklahoma, USA - JUN 7, 2013
A -Pours dark brown almost black with ruby accents when held to the light. Big tan head that retains well and leaves plenty of lacing.
S - Roasted malts, grassy, hay-like aroma, cardboard,
T - Heavily roasted grain, a good dose of grassy hops, sour notes add a sharpness. Hint of cocoa powder toward the roasted bitter finish.
M - Body is on the heavy side of medium, ample carbonation.
Not as good as I remember it but still better than the watered down draught version.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 richiebeer (5) - Newfoundland, CANADA - JUN 6, 2013 does not count
I’m going through a try all the stouts I can phase, and decided to try Guinness mostly because there’s so little choice here. The experience has been slightly different each time, but over its nondescript except for an unpleasant bitter aftertaste that reminds me of dandelion sap. I had to buy a six pack because you can’t get singles here, but I’ll be glad to have the space back in my beer fridge for better drinks. I can tolerate it and even prefer it to many dark beers, but its definitely the worst stout I’ve had and won’t be buying again.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 junon (327) - Honolulu, Hawaii, USA - JUN 6, 2013
Not bad. I actually get all kinds if subtle flavours. Least of which are the typical chocolate and coffee. Interesting.
3.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 Lunchb0x (20) - Prestonsburg, Kentucky, USA - MAY 26, 2013
Probably Guinness' finest product available in America. The regular Guinness pours better, but I like the flavor of the Extra Stout better.

Sweet hoppy Aroma. Dark dark brown. Pretty light bodied with higher carbonation. Taste is hoppy bitter, lots of roasted malt, Sweet. A little eh.

I’m really just not a Guinness fan. If I want a stout, I want something thick and black and not watery. But it is famous. I hear it drinks best in Ireland.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 GIJOE (145) - Monterey, California, USA - APR 29, 2013
Dark brown with a moderate tan head.
Aroma is malt with a metallic hint that comes through in the flavor as well.
Flavor is malty sweetness with a kick of astringent bitterness that is surprising at first but grows on me.
Medium body, lively carbonation.
Not bad, but not what I expect from a stout.

2.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 delamie6 (20) - - APR 22, 2013
Guinness is a very dark brown almost black looking in appearance. It gives off rich smells of licorice. It is a very filling beer but it is pretty strong. I am not a big fan of the beer.
2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Wordsworth (89) - Austin, Texas, USA - APR 21, 2013
Bottle poured in pint glass. Dark brown nearly black with a light khaki finger head. Too cold to get a proper nose. Taste is mostly roasted malt with a hint of espresso. Unremarkable. Decent but wouldn't seek it out.
