3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a black color with a large tan head that fades to ample lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee and hint of chocolate. Taste follows with roasted malt, coffee and bit of chocolate. Distict biterness and the finish is quite dry. Full body, thick and a bit creamy. Decent beer but it’s not the same as a fresh draught Guinness.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Deep, dark brown opaque color with a lasting tan-colored head. Primarily malt and coffee flavors, though surprisingly it’s not that bitter. A hearty, filling drink and pretty good overall.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Appearance: pours jet black with a medium tan head
Aroma: coffee, cake, syrup, butter
Taste: coffee but I'm getting some grain in there too, wood, kind of sweet
Palate: slightly above medium mouthfeel, lively carbonation, not much aftertaste
Overall: one of my preferred stouts I've had to date, not overly chocolately like most stouts, not especially complex either

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Got a sixer of this at the local convenience store. Pours black with a thick tan head. Tasted like bitter, bad coffee...or over-used motor oil. The extra stout was not my thing.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Frothy off white head. Almost pitch black appearance. Sweet start, molasses, syrup. Creamier palate than Guinness draught. Chocolate and coffee aftertaste.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
From a 12 oz. bottle brewed and bottled in New Brunswick, Canada. Pours dark black with a beautiful, creamy, billowing tan head which retains well and leaves lacing. Aroma is of molasses, bread, wood, smoke, grass, and roasted malt. Taste is assertively bitter, with a medium sweetness to balance, and a slightly sour, salty, and bitter finish. Medium bodied with a creamy texture and soft carbonation. I would say this stout is definitely better than average, and it has very wide distribution.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bouteille 341ml. Couleur brune très foncée avec des reflets rouges, mousse moka crémeuse. Arôme de malt grillé, café léger. Goût de malt grillé, café léger, cola, mélasse léger, légère amertume en fin de bouche. Carbonation moyenne, corps moyen-faible, aqueuse.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours solid black with the extremely frothy head you’d expect from Guiness. Less velvety mouthfeel than normal guiness/draught. Lots of burnt toast and malts in the taste, ends with a slightly acidic aftertaste. It’s more blunt than normal Guinness, and it’s good, but not great.

3.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Ruby brown, smokey color, tall head.
Medium/full body, very smooth texture, low heat, avg length, mild finish.
Medium bitterness, more sweetness than expected,
Simple and medium intensity flavor profile, at times can taste watery.
Smokey flavor, ash-like, not so much
Can be the right beer for the right food, but not the stout I would look for to drink on its own.
