3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
500ml bottle. Pours a deep, opaque black, with a large beige head, which lasts reasonably well and leaves good lacing. The aroma is fairly muted, with moderate espresso notes and some faint lemon and herbal hops notes. Prickling citric hops up front give way to some espresso and dark chocolate notes. There is some pleasant bitter cocoa in a drying finish. A fairly simplistic stout, but (since mine was brewed under licence in Dar es Salaam) I would have no hesitation in pronouncing it to be the best beer made in Tanzania, although this is emphatically not a huge compliment.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at a restaurant in Nairobi. Dark malty smell with chocolate. Similar taste. Creamy. Allot better and more tasty then the guiness I’ve had in Europe.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bought this beer from the Montego Bay Airport at $6 USD.
Smells a lot more potent then the North American (NA) variety. A bit of a hop smell.
Pours different then the NA beers, as there is no widget. Coarse head that disappears quickly. Same black colour although more light can bee seen through it.
Taste is more flavourful then the NA version. A slight hop note. Little bitterness on the aftertaste.
Proper amount of carbonation. Smooth with little lingering aftertaste.
Overall I was happy with this purchase. I much prefer the taste of European Guinness to North American version, and this Jamaican variety is close to that. NA version is flat and bland. This is lively and flavourful. Try it if your in the area.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle while in Jamaica. Disappointingly wasn’t as good as the one I’d had in St. Lucia. More bitter than the other Caribbean version, less of a sweet chocolate feel and more dark roast malt. Not bad and still probably the best beer on the island but not as good as other variations in other places.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
I wish I opened this side by side with a "normal" Guinness. Definitely different. Coffee. Im not getting the sweetness some other raters mention. Kinda strange not having nitro in my Guinness.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Like most other Guinness but sweeter. Pour is dark almost black with a large tan head. Hoppy for a stout but sweeter then most extras and not as hoppy as the U.S. One.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: OCT 14, 2015 Pitch black almost opaque, strong and lasting dark tan head and nice lacing. Aroma is of chocolate and overroasted malt, charcoal. Taste is low on sweetness, caramel, malt, bit of choco, bit of licorice and mostly roasted malts with a very dry charcoal bitter finish. Medium bodied. While this is very decent in Africa and without much competition I don’t think it would do well against European or American stouts. 0,33 Bottle in Rwanda, from Kenya.

Bottled 275 ml at John Crow’s Tavern, Ocho Rios, Jamaica, on January 24, 2015.
Jamaica version, stated on label to be brewed at "Desnoes and Geddes". 6.5% ABV.
Clear very dark brown to black color, big lasting brown head. Sweet malty, rich scent. Rich, malty, roasted, alcohol taste. Alcohol aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, medium high bitterness.
Though the ABV is "only" 6.5%, the alcohol is way too evident in the taste and aftertaste, scent is much better to my personal liking.
Bottle from Seow Edward & Sons Ltd in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, picked up in January 2015. BB 11 Nov 15, sampled on July 31, 2015.
Black color, hints of dark brown in it as well, dark brown head. Sweet, alcohol, light roasted scent. Berries, sweet taste. Medium mouthfeel, low bitterness.
