Sep 19, 2005 Bottle. Black with a reddish brown , thick head. Quite a fruity aroma, with some background coffee. Taste has sweet malts, coffee and some fruits. The finish is quite bitter. Alcohol pretty well hid. Full bodied and no mistake.

Sep 11, 2005 Pours a deep, dark opaque with a thick, frothy dark tan head. Sweet sugary malty and light vegetable aroma has some mild roastiness. Body starts full and viscous with lots of sugars, some light fructose and vegetable oil, but has a nice roasty balance toward the finish and hides the alcohol very well. A unique and interesting brew, but would be better if it were all malt.

Nice aroma of fruits and coffee.
Roasted flvour with lots of fruits and a hoppy finish.

Jul 30, 2005 Bottled. Black opaque, big brown foamy head. Roasted malt and toffee in aroma. Sweetness and roasted malt in flavour. Aftertaste of old coffee and chocolate. The sweetness is kind of weird in beginning. Also a bit hoppiness in finish.

Opaque black, good creamy tanned head. Aroma is a bit sour and sweet (molasses, milk chocolate). Full-bodied. Sweet malty, familiar Guinness roast and very long bitter roasted aftertaste.

Fruity, sourly aroma, much more intensive then the Cameroon version. Fruity, sweet, pleasant drinkable beer. Astringent finish, very bitter. A very good stout.

Jun 9, 2005 Updated: Jul 21, 2006Pours a dark black with a light brown head. The aftertaste is extremely bitter, with a strong coffee/burnt flavor. Alcohol is right in your face. Not very enjoyable in the hot sun, but I have to admit, it grew on me.

May 2, 2005 Updated: Sep 30, 2009Bottled. A black stout with a slight tan head. The aroma is oily and fishy and there is an abundance of licquorice. This licquorice follows through into the taste which is quite sweet but also a bit salty with hints of cod liver oil. A real sipping beer which has a massively full body.Score 3.9
