The pour formed a large tan head that dissipated, slowly, but didn’t stick around like a regular guinness. A bit darker color than the regular beer. Large amount of chocolate smell with malt aroma. The taste was sweeter than a regular, but you still know it’s a guinness. Probably the best priced beer in Dublin at 2 euros a bottle. scrizzz (1271), kirkland, Washington, USA

This is why you gather and enjoy beer as a cohort. Dry bready aroma, some ripe cherry. Dense black. Dry woodsy and dynamic. Thrilled to enjoy this treat. bitbucket (2033), Kirkland, Washington, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 31, 2009 This is not your neighborhood pub’s Guinness, but I wish it was. Black bodied with a chocolate cream head off of which waft intense chocolate cherry aromas with hints of Brett and wood. Chocolatey body, with again some dry hint of Brett and sour chocolate cherry finish. Guinness in name only, this is an exemplary Foreign Stout. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 7, 2009 Can thanks to Omhper. Deep black with thick tan head. Smoky aroma is fruity too. Very smooth with hint of licorice rounding it out. By far best GFES I have had, has nice dry fruity character, solid malts, skins of Bosc pear, very nice. daknole (2926), Plantation, Florida, USA
