Bottle. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, roasted malt and plums. Taste is really weird: sour/bittersweet with a long lasting roasted coffee and malt taste. Certainly an interesting brew, not at all what I expected, but quite unbalanced and thus far out. I still enjoyed it somehow.

Nose is sugary latte, roast, a little hazelnut, slight chocolate, very appealing. The taste is not as good as the nose plum, sugar, toasted malts, milk, a slightly sour lemon tone in the mid pallet which is not well integrated. An uneven beer, with a great nose but some odd falvours in the mix.

Lore (1072) - Budapest, HUNGARY - APR 4, 2014
deep dark colour, dense, creamy grey-ish beige head, which lasts forever; slightly weak aroma of coffee and plum, maybe some chocolate, as well; taste of chocolate, coffee, plum, some ginger, hints of tobacco and maybe some vanilla; excellent taste, less intensive and complex aroma - anyway, still very good

Bottle. Medium off white head. Pretty good retention. Black body. Plums, red fruit, corn, aniseed, dust, boiled vegetables, bubblegum, resin. Bittersweet with some lactic sourness. Soft mouthfeel. Full bodied. Dry finish.

Davros (1947) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - MAR 20, 2014
Pours black with a large dark tan head. Aroma of cola syrup, very sweet smelling. Some dark chocolate liqueur and softer roasted malt. Pretty wierd. The sweetness carries through as a flavour, presumably that’s the sorghum. Some bitter roast a bit later but the sweetness is overpowering. A fair bit of booze in the finish. Could use more carbonation.

Borresteijn (4686) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - MAR 16, 2014
33cl Bottle from an Indian toko. Made with wheat according to the label, no word of sorghum. Black, beige head. Aroma of coffee and cream, Madeira wine, oxidisation, juniper, burnt liquorice, ash, tobacco. Flavour of Madeira wine, ash, something sour, berries, burnt liquorice, ashy bitter finish with a fruity sour touch. Medium-bodied. Not bad, just a bit weird.
