Creamy and soft palate. Some alcohol but well hidden in malt and coffee notes Jvittorio4187 (255), Boardman, Ohio, USA Apr 27, 2008 Bottle shared with Josh: Pours a silky black with thin white head. Aromas of sweet chocolate, cream, and oak. Taste is of strong chocolate, cream and that classic "Guinness" flavor. Finish is dy with that same "Guinness" flavor. Thanks Josh. LeopoldT (12), Lazarevac, Serbia Apr 25, 2008 It’s a great stout ok. Strong coffee flavor and coffee aroma. Dark colored head, bitter finish. Overall a great stout gam (1068), brisbane, Australia Apr 13, 2008 Lovely frothy head, light chocolate coloured head, dark opaque ale.Aroma crisp cocoa coffee.Smooth roast coffee and chocolate flavours, almost velvety.Made the bottle last out,had a grittyness, finish roasted bitter coffee, chocolate.Great stout to be sure. changeup45 (782), Orlando, Florida, USA Apr 11, 2008 Blackish color with a hint of amber topped with a thick tan head and quite a bit of lacing. Roasted malty aroma. The flavor is that of burned chocolate and malts with a rich, bitter mouthfeel. It’s OK but I prefer the standard Guinness anders37 (4516), Malmö, Sweden Apr 8, 2008 Bottle. Best before ’05. Pours a black color with a tan head. Roasted malty and a slightly fruity aroma. Smooth roasted malty chocolate flavor. Has a malty roasted finish with some fruity hints in the aftertaste. csbosox (1076), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA Mar 30, 2008 4/07 tasting. I picked up several of these while on port on a Carribean cruise. I had the Irish brewed version on the ship and it tasted the same. Aroma is roasty, with an acidic sour tang. Taste is sweet, roasty, tangy. Reminiscent of regular Guinness with more sweetness, more body, and a nice tang. Wonderful. ElGaucho (1730), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Mar 26, 2008 Bottle aboard Celebrity Galaxy cruisliner originating in Civitavecchia, Italy. Sweet, malty stouty aroma. Very nice. Sweeter and richer in the nose than regular Guinness. Dark, large, rootbeer float-like head. Quite different than the cascading, tight bubble appearance of regular Guinness. Excellent lace. Molasses and higher alcohol. Definitely sweeter than regular Guinness. Pretty good. A little dry, but the best beer on board the ship.
