Sep 26, 2007 Had this beer on 4/7/2007. Aroma is a mild toasted scent with very faint tones of hops. Color is a deep black with a good head that goes loose on the edge but seems tight in the center. Taste is crisp and bitter. Starting with medium body it goes down with a crisp feel that is a bit sharp on the sides of your tongue. Finish comes on with a mild roasted malt flavor that turns to a full bitterness that is backed by more toasted and burnt flavors. Its just not a very good stout. This is just a weak Stout.

Sep 24, 2007 Bottle... black body with a light brown head. Chocolate, barley, malt on the nose. Smooth, silky palate with flavors of coffee, chocolate, roasted malt, with a sort of chalky finish.

Sep 23, 2007 Black colour, brown head. Aroma is of roasted malts and chocolate. Taste is of roasted malts, coffee cream and chocolate. Nice smooth and full body.

Sep 17, 2007 Bottle purchased in Japan: Dark black, light head, nice light tan head. The nose is full and thick with sweet roast and pleasant light alcohol. Soy and maple, lots of vanilla and wood. The flavor is nice and full, fairly acidic and bitter vs the other guinness varieties. Decent.

Sep 2, 2007 Solid nice tasting strong burnt malt taste, very enjoyable. But not at all like the original thing in Ireland. Heavy all the way on the malt but more watery than draught or the nitro-bottle/cans. Still good even if not as good as the original - just different.
