Bullit (1290), Glasgow, Scotland Sep 23, 2007 Black colour, brown head. Aroma is of roasted malts and chocolate. Taste is of roasted malts, coffee cream and chocolate. Nice smooth and full body. BückDich (4765), McCall, Idaho, USA Sep 17, 2007 Bottle purchased in Japan: Dark black, light head, nice light tan head. The nose is full and thick with sweet roast and pleasant light alcohol. Soy and maple, lots of vanilla and wood. The flavor is nice and full, fairly acidic and bitter vs the other guinness varieties. Decent. JayBaxter (386), Greater Manchester, Greater Manchester, England Sep 9, 2007 Solid black beer with a large dense coffe coloured head, aroma is rich and malty with a burnt edge and a roasted slightly bitter taste. joohefner (380), Isla Vista, California, USA Sep 9, 2007 almost black color with a thin brown head. dark roasted malt aroma with hints of coffee and alcohol. syrupy body with soft bubbles. bitter molasses taste with anise and coffee, and a slight tartness. a classic and always a good drink sneezey (110), Hackettstown, New Jersey, USA Sep 2, 2007 Solid nice tasting strong burnt malt taste, very enjoyable. But not at all like the original thing in Ireland. Heavy all the way on the malt but more watery than draught or the nitro-bottle/cans. Still good even if not as good as the original - just different. kp (7774), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Updated: Jan 17, 2009

HenrikSoegaard (4257), Randers, Denmark Aug 31, 2007 Bottle, from Cameroun. Creamy lightbrown excellent fully lasting head. Black colour. Heavy malty caramellic almost toffee aroma. moderate bitter flavor. Long nice bitter finish with licorice notes. Creamy palate. Really nice stout. mansquito (818), Boston/Philadelphia, USA Aug 29, 2007 Pours a big brownish head and is darker than normal Guinness I believe, but there is a picture right there so you be the judge I suppose. The beer itself is syrupy and slightly sweet, and smooth. Lots of molasses taste in there. Some coffee and a lot of really roasty malts. Definitely better than any of the other extra stouts.
