green (187), Boston, Massachusetts, USA Mar 1, 2005 Stout black. Brown head, retains somewhat, laces decently. Dry, acidic, vinous, note of toast with mabey a bit of burnt toast. Medium bodied. Long very bitter finish. Although stouts are usually considered hearty, this I found this one as refreshing as pilsner. aenimopiate (142), The United States of Texas, Texas, USA Feb 17, 2005 This is a good beer. Strong to the last drop, then the aftertaste takes over the battle ;-) robpet (98), Stone Mountain, Georgia, USA Jan 27, 2005 Clean slightly yeasty aroma. Nice dark brown color with a full tan head. Initial flavor was of honey with a slight citrus finish that was nicely lasting althought maybe slightly metallic. Palate was moderately thick. Enjoyed this beer. Garrat (1132), Suffolk, England Jan 14, 2005 Updated: Feb 1, 2009From a bottle.Bloody black in colour, nice brown head.Dark fruits and coffee, warming alcohol, toe curling, red ears,I can take on the world.well good. egajdzis (3602), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 14, 2005 Updated: Sep 24, 2008Poured a deep, dark, brown color with a small, light tan head that left spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of peanuts, butterscotch, chocolate and roast, with light burnt notes. Lots of roast and chocolate in the taste. Light oak and nuts, but dominated by roast. Very nice. Best beer I found in Aruba. LilKem (1210), Marietta, Ohio, USA Jan 5, 2005 Updated: Jan 21, 2005wow, i was WAY impressed by this one for guinness. poured nearly black with tan head. smells like brown sugar and sweet beery goodness... its much smoother than draught and much better tasting... sweeter taste, more licorice and brown sugar with hint of carmel. i’d recommend at least trying it, but defeinitely dont expect it to be speedway or anything Nekronos (2261), Xalapa, Mexico Dec 25, 2004 Updated: Jan 31, 2006I was happy drinking this, I got it in Belize, and it says is under permition of Guinness, blah, bah, blñah, It’s ok, I like it. SilkTork (4155), Rochester, Kent, England Dec 2, 2004 Sept, 2002: I found this extremely smooth and creamy - much softer than the standard Guinness. The strength is well concealed. [3.0]
