2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
As expected, my bottle of mud pours deep and black, with a thin chocolate head that held steady throughout the serving. Without the nitrogen pour, the bubbles were a little bigger, of course, but the lacing was still generous. A little fuller in body, the hoppy bite was noticeable, relative to the standard U.S. Draught version. There’s a little alcohol heat and a nice lingering sweetness, balanced by the hoppy bitterness.
While I like this better than the typical draft, Guinness is still a far cry from any number of the HUGE assortments of stouts and porters readily available in nearly any local brewpub or brewery. All in all, while this is a very serviceable quaff, I’d prefer to drink local and fresh.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
I prefer Draught, but at $2.50 for a pint of it, you can’t complain. Smells of coffee and malt, pours a deep black (they call it the black stuff for a reason) Tastes like Draught but a little watery.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle shared thanks to Deanso. Pours near black with a big tan head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, sweet malt, fudge, light chocolate and some light dark fruity notes. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Ok non è la guinness alla spina che si può bere nei pub di dublino, ma tra quelle prodotte in bottiglia della guinness è la migliore.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20

3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
330ml bottle from Asda. (£1.25) This is very good. Rich coffee and chocolate. Yum! The slightly harsh finish is followed by a lovely warm glow. This is by far the best Guinness I've tasted.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Foam: nice light brown, medium lasting, lingers.
Colour: very dark brown, opaque.
Aroma: roasted coffee, dark chocolate, malt, caramel, fruit, vanilla, a hint of smoke.
Taste: roasted sweet malty, chocolate first then some fruits, liquorice, little oily, dry smoky/roast bitter/hoppy long finish, medium carbonation, medium to high body, pretty good beer anyway.
