Bottle, Belize City, Belize: Brewed by the Belize Brewing Company, home of the Belikin Beers. What a find! Poured jet black, excellent foamy tan head. The aroma was promising, very deep chocolate and espresso notes. The flavour is stunning, rich, caramel sweetness like candy bounced with oak highlights, dark chocolate, coffee, and hints of that 7.5% alcohol. If only such a product was readily available here in Canada, I absolutely loved it!

Sep 4, 2008 2008 Bottle in St Martin - Pours oily black with a small brown head - aroma is all toasty malt, smoke...flavour is strong, alcohol and taste...burnt malty bitterness on the front end, light burnt and roasty dry fruit on the back end...a nice brew thats hard for me to find in the states...

Sep 1, 2008 first of all i’ve to say this one cost me 4dls!!!! ha, black color, it tastes like chocolate, a little bit strong the precesence of alcohol.

Aug 27, 2008 Wow- I like Guinness but I really liked this brew. Had from bottle at a crappy hotel in boston area. This is the only good thing about this stay. Nice smokey flavor - nice bitter kick. very nice surprise for my 50th rating!

Aug 22, 2008 Bottle 330ml from Waitrose, Christchurch. Pours black with a good beige head. Aroma has a distinct molasses background. Reasonably full bodied. Much better than its traditional cousin.

Aug 21, 2008 Pours a dark opaque black colour with a small brown head. Taste is chocolatey, noticeable pepper and black cherry flavors. Aroma is sort of woody with hints of black licorice.
