COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Foreign Extra Stout is a beer like no other. The most full-flavoured of all. Singular and striking. Uniquely satisfying. Brewed with extra hops and roasted barley for a natural bite. Bitter and sweet. Refreshingly crisp. Always rewarding. Pure beauty. Pure GUINNESS.

Editor’s Note: This is the standard FES. Sometimes it is imported from Ireland but more often it is brewed locally. This version is most common in the Caribbean and Africa. All versions from those places, save for Jamaica, Nigeria, Kenya and Ghana should be rated here.

Roasted malts, coffee, toffee aromas. Taste is the same with a subtle sweetness coming through Great pour as Guinness ought to be. Smooth and medium to full bodied with a burnt finish. My go-to-Guinness product now that it is available in my area.

From 330ml bottle. Black with big head. Tastes of liquorice, malty, raisins and chocolate. Good body and much a much nicer stout than Guinness Original ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle 0,33L. Black color with big, long lasting, creamy head. Aroma of chocolate, sweet dark fruits, caramel and a touch of alcohol. Taste starts light bitter, but suddenly become vinous (reminds me of red wine) and than becomes moderate to heavy bitter again. Full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Way better than the regular one...

If you ever thought Guinness would be nicer if it were concentrated down, this is the drink for you. Spicy, nutty and absolutely delicious.

Pours a dark brown with a thin foamy head. It doesn’t stay for long, and there’s little lacing on the glass. Smells of chocolate, malt and bread. Big taste of coffee, chocolate, dark fruit and licorice. A bit of bitterness. Medium mouth with some oil. Just a nice solid stout.

(Bottle from DuffMan. Thx Tony!)

Black beer with a brown head. Richy, bitter malt smell. Chocolatey malt taste up front but there’s a dash of tangy, fruity hop in there to balance it a touch and some dark chocolate which comes through slowly just when I thought the flavour had petered out. Rich, tasty stout.
