COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Foreign Extra Stout is a beer like no other. The most full-flavoured of all. Singular and striking. Uniquely satisfying. Brewed with extra hops and roasted barley for a natural bite. Bitter and sweet. Refreshingly crisp. Always rewarding. Pure beauty. Pure GUINNESS.

Editor’s Note: This is the standard FES. Sometimes it is imported from Ireland but more often it is brewed locally. This version is most common in the Caribbean and Africa. All versions from those places, save for Jamaica, Nigeria, Kenya and Ghana should be rated here.

Toasted aroma, black-ish hue with a large off-white head, toast, wood, nuts, coffee, super thick palate, rich chocolate aftertaste, excellent stout.

0,3l Flasche. Schwarzes Bier mit bräunlicher Schaumkrone. Angenehmer Duft nach Röstaromen. Schmeckt nach Röstaromen, Schokolade, Vanille undgeröstetem Getreide. Vollmunig und ausgewogen.

Tremendously rich flavor of coffee and roasted malt with some sour-sweet fruits intermingled. Long, deliciously bitter finish.

See: Black, one finger tan head. No swirling carbonation like normal Guinness. Smell: Dark fruit, fruit cake mix, dates, molasses/brown sugar. Taste: Sweet molasses, rich fruit, hint of peppery spice. Pallet: Rich, thick, well carbonated but not too lively. Longish bitter finish. Lovely, complex stout. Much richer, sharper and flavoursome than standard Guinness.

From a 330ml bottle (only 99p from B and M!) I drank this chilled because its very refreshing like that on a hot day. Nice rocky light brown head and all the taste that you’d expect from Guinness but sweeter. Be careful if you have a lot of these lying around. Its far too easy to drink.

Pitch black color, creamy head...strong aromas of roasted malt and some balanced hops. Mouthful, creamy, a bit bland but an overall pleasant beer.

Jet black, with nice capuccino-coloured head/ Strong aroma of roasted malts, a bit spoiled by the alcohol. Subtle chocolate in flavour.

33cl can bought back from Hong Kong. Stated at 6.8% ABV. Poured into a tulip glass. Aroma heavy in malts and some coffee. Medium carbonation. Decent light tan coloured head which dissipates and leaves a fair amount of lacing. Very dark brown to black colour. Malt, roasted barley, slightly nutty and bitter flavour. Some acidity left on the palate.

Immediate chocolate notes with alcohol which pours dark as expected. Definitely more bite than regular Guinness varietals. definitely a bit more sharp in the hops and definitely more expensive than Regular guiness Rich and satisfying but the chocolate notes seems to have a tad raw element possibly artificial. Better than Guiness varietals that have come along, good but nothing to rave about. Would love to try the real deal in Dublin one day as part of my bucket list of beers

Dark as hell, medium sized tan head. Chocolate, coffee, roasted malts and some cocoa. Slightly sweet. Thin body, soft carbonation. Better than regular Guinness.
(Dobro Pivo Pri Ščurku 0,33l bottle)
