2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours a deep caramel color with a couple fingers of eggshell foam. Aromas are pure maltiness with an ever so slight cardboard stale hop presence. On the palate its alot of the same, nothing overly off putting just a stale malty beer without any great flavors. Touch of bitterness on the finish cleans up the caramel sweetness.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Tolerable but not especially good. To me thereís something off about it, or just uninspired; I was expecting more from Guinness, especially considering the brewerís description. OK as an amber ale.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a medium sized head of foamy off-white colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a strongly carbonated transparent dark copper brown colored body and a thick foamy lacing. The aroma was brown malt and musty. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The thin flavor contained notes of brown malt and hops. An OK brew just nothing special.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Odd aroma of funk. Deep brownish amber in color with no foam. Hoppy flavor upfront with a milky/vanilla taste on the finish. Overall, this is very basic. Just hops and vanilla flavor.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz bottle. Filtered looking amber-red-tan body, this lacy off-white head. The aroma is not so impressive, factory dry lifeless toffee. A sort of boring, mineral-dry amber- brown ale. Not really up to Guinness standards, this is sort of tame and uninspired. Medium bodied, drinkable, but all around unappealing.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
The brew starts out with a lovely dark red pour and light tan head. A bit more and longer lasting head would improve the appearance, but itís nice nevertheless. Nose is very typically amber ale, with some sweet maltiness dominating the aroma. Flavor is similar to the nose, with the addition of some mild hop notes that peak in the middle and fade toward a malty finish.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
One of the better Guinness brews, Dark amber brown, clear, color. Good balance between malt sweetness and hop bitterness. Like a ESB IMO.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Dark amber red color. Thin off-white head. Aroma of malts and bread. Flavor is watery malts. Not much character. Like a thin red ale. Thin in body. Not much there for me, but not terrible.
