3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear dark nut brown with a ruby hue and minimal head. Aroma of coffee, vanilla and christmas spices. Taste is light bitter. Coffee, spices abd a little vanilla. Medium bodied with a thin texture. Lively carbonation and a long finish. Overall, not bad. Nothing to seek out but drinkable.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from a SaveMart. Pours brown with a slight beige head. Mild caramel aroma. Med minus body. Flavor is roasty with a hint of ginger or some sort of spice. Very mild hint. There’s some vanilla, I think. Give it this - there is a lot of flavor compared to the macro lagers. If it was the only thing available, I’d drink it.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Irish session stuff through and through. Though really more of a Brit bitter actually. Reddish brown, malts dominate nose and taste, a bit of caramel malt helps. Okay.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Got this in a variety pack. Smells very malty. Red in color, with a small head that quickly dissipated. Not very drinkable on the palate. It tastes like a watered down extra stout and has an aftertaste of iron. Overall, not a very good beer. I expect more from Guinness.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
330ml bottle, code but not date stamped, poured into a snifter. From a variety pack including regular Guinness, Black Lager, and Foreign Extra Stout.
Pours a clear dark reddish-brown with a moderate tan head. Has weak retention but leaves rather nice lacing.
Aroma: lots of baked bread and caramel malt. very typical of a dark mild. A little bit of dark fruit too.
Mouthfeel: medium-light body, perhaps a tad thin; well-chosen carbonation level. and rather sticky.
The taste largely follows the aroma, but is less sweet and more hoppy than expected.
O: pleasantly surprised by the quality of this macro-brewery offering.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20
A dark brown ale characteristic of the guinness look. Taste vaguely of spices with the toasted malt. Good beer both nothing that makes it outstanding for a holiday beer.

Sample from bottle. Carmel malt, vanilla, slight roastiness. Didn’t care for it.
