Can @ home, thanks to MacBoost for this one off! Pours an orangish brown appearance with a foamy, brown head. The aroma is creamed corn, lemon, grass, and wood. Twangy lemon flavor. Moderate high sweetness, low bitterness. The flavor is metallic and lemony. Not too good.

Can @ home. Thanks, Boost. Cooper pour with a khaki head. Aroma is big on bread, toast, and grass. Not terribly fragrant. The flavor is just kind of toasty and grainy. Grassy and slightly bitter finish. A decent bit of bready malts. Ok.

Not much to love but not much to hate either! Has a lovely mahogany pour w/ a thin tan head that leaves good lacing. The aroma has a nice little holiday spice undertone to it. The flavor is nearly 100% clean w/ a little bit of dryness in the finish. Not bad!

Can thanks to Graeme! Pours a clear orange gold with small off white head. The aroma is cream and fruity malt. Medium mouth, sweet malt, metallic finish. Decent.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Guinness Generous Ale (Arthurís Holiday Ale)... Dusty, toffee malt aroma with sine caramel and toasted bread. Reddish-brown color; thin tan-colored crown. Flavor is light caramel, moderately dry earthy malt, nice herbal hop presence. Medium-light body; smooth. This is a really nice beer that Iíd drink more if it were available on a regular basis.

Pounder can from the winter 8-pack.. Pours clear deep amber with a short lived off white head.. Dark bread with an appropriate amount of English yeasty fruitiness showing.. Nutty/lesser earthy malts work well with the restrained grassy hops.. Obviously English.. Very well done.. Maybe a little tinny given the time in the can, but I would buy this if I could get it outside the Guinness 8-pack.
Fine and surprisingly drinkable.

Canned. Poured medium amber with a short-lived head. The aroma picked up lots of vanilla and nutty notes, with a bit of toasted character. The flavor found similar, picking up a little molasses.. more vanilla on the finish. Lighter-bodied with moderate-plus carbonation.. OK feel.

Was expecting more from a Guiness sampler pack. Appearance was a little tough as in a dark location. Slight vanilla scent. First drink reminded me a bit of pumpkin (though not a pumpkin ale), but might be due to slight spice in it. I do like the smooth mouthfeel. Decent, but also forgettable.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
14.9 oz can, thought all the beers in this pack were going to be draught widget cans, but it looks like the regular old Guinness is the only one - Pours clear cola brown with a thin off white head that slowly reduces.Aroma is generic ale, toast, caramel malt. Taste is caramel malt, ale, it tastes like a boring generic amber lager. Boring!

This stuff is not unexpectedly bland in boring. If thatís what you were expecting, congratulations, you win nothing. It is nice looking at least with a clear red color and creamy, foamy head. Unfortunately, it smell faintly of overripe and doesnít taste like much of anything. There is a touch of toasty malt and a hint of earthy bitterness but thatís about it. This is a medium bodied beer and almost flat w/ very little carbonation. It is only a little sweet thankfully so it is still fairly drinkable but honestly I just canít see myself wanting to have another one of them.
